Was hoping it would be like my old Canon A620. Trouble occurs taking long exposure shots--- I remember being able to take a long exposure shot in low light with 15 second exposure (max) with the old A620 and get gorgeous results... but with the new S100 I am getting pretty much BLACK shots while my co-explorer seems able to shoot an 8 second exposure (with his SLR) and get wonderful DAYLIGHT like conditions. For example out at hunters point shooting exterior of warehouses at night, cant see a damn thing. Any tips to brighten these images (not photoshop)? ISO is constrained with the 15 second exposure, but maybe there is some other setting i can tweak? Or do I need to stop being a cheap bastard and get an SLR.... or maybe buy an old A620. I totally get this is a vague post, probably in the wrong category, but thanks for anything. merry christmas everyone. Open the aperture more and increase the ISO number and tell us what happens.
