First Thread: text heavy

Well I finally did it. I took pictures while exploring. I do however want to apologize in advance for the quality, though. All I had was one LED and my cell phone, not your fancy iphone. This is my second favorite of the three I've been to. The least favorite is just a room, more or less. My favorite is like my home away from home. So it's some where in the middle, mainly due to the difficult POE and the fact that it is in the middle of a park! I am saving up for a camera. I was thinking of the T4I. I'll be sure to go back when that happens. Till then, here are a few pictures of the place.

1.
This is a bit ironic, part of our entry required climbing on a broken bucket. The thing was falling appart. After wishing for a bucket, half the place was filled with buckets. There is a still operating ROOM in the building so they could belong to those people.

2.
My friend got excited by the little bottle she found. I took a picture and google says it's and antiseptic.

3.
So there were tons pins and papers for The boys' club of America, and boys' club of (town name). I guess we can assume it was a boys' club at one point. We do know that the park it's on was used in World War one, then as a radio Lab with Bell Labs, then as a satellite place for the army, and then turned into to the park it is today.

4.
Everywhere there were sign in sheets. They listed almost every possible three digit number and then had highlighted numbers. I dont know why you would list EVERY possible number, but to each their own.

5.
This picture came out cool, regardless of my no name phone. I have no clue what it is. Please excuse me if it just was a widely used item that is now obsolete as I've only been on earth for a little over 17 years.

6.
Among the paper everywhere there were maps, Maps, MAPS!

7.
A little door for little people, leading to underneath the foundation.

8.
On the second floor, the walls were lined with old paintings, like these dancing shapes. There was also a room with Pac-man, but I didn't get a good picture.

9.
An old carriage. I love this. There were cribs in the room, and...

10.
Medium sized back bone. Waht? Just throwing out Ideas: Halloween decoration planted there by kids, there are tons of cats and one brought it in after slaying a human (cause that's what cats do) and finished its meal, or lastly a cat brought in a fossil (there were fossils found at this park once). If it wasn't kids, blame it on the cats. The only possible POE is second story so I can't believe a medium sized animal could get in without being a descendant of apes. There are small holes all over the place, the size of cats.

The back bone didn't faze ME much, but if you have three teenaged girls looking at a back bone, one will freak. First time I went here we left early because, "That's creepy, I'm getting a bad vibe." and the I said, "hey look asbestos!". This time we left because my friend couldn't pee in a bucket, and we needed to find a restroom.

Well I hope you liked this regardless of image quality. Sorry I don't have the money for fancy gear, I'm only a kid.

What was this place?

Currently it has one room closed off, for the cell tower. But: "I guess we can assume it was a boys' club at one point. We do know that the park it's on was used in World War one, then as a radio Lab with Bell Labs, then as a satellite place for the army, and then turned into to the park it is today." I don't really want to give away to much else, like the exact location, sorry.

#5 is a radial arm saw.

Neat find.
