It's on for tomorrow! Got all of the BBQ gear ready to go. If you want to bring anything, all contributions are welcome - I'm only bringing the basics.

I'm expecting somewhere in the neighborhood of 16-27 people. I'm so excited - I can't wait. It's going to be fun! See you all tomorrow!

What a great day!!! Thank you to everyone who came out. We had 15 explorers show up for some good grub, beers, and bunkers. Big thanks to my brother and his family for coming out. Can't wait for the next big explore, and I can't wait to see the pics everyone got, but for now, here's mine.

Thanks very much to T.R.U.E for organizing this event. Great to see everyone again. I haven't had time to take a look at my photos yet but if I find anything worth posting, I will.

Thanks TRUE for setting up a great Meetup and providing all the great hot dogs. I think photographically there was something for everyone that day. TRUE provided shuttle service as parking was an issue at Kriby Cove.

We were lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins swimming close to the shore at one of the bunkers.

There was also a vintage airplane for flying in for Veterans day.

Thank you TRUE for putting on a great meet up. It was nice to be able to hang out and talk while wandering around these fun sites.

Most of these are with the GoPro, some with the Rebel.

There have been a few successful meet and greets in a row now. It's nice to be coming together as a community. I have been having a lot of fun getting to know you guys.

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Thanks for putting this on TRUE. It was nice to just hang out on a beautiful day and have a beer with everyone instead of feeling like we had to be running from location to location. Props to you good sir.

Ah, sorry to have missed this one. Spent all of Saturday nursing a hangover made worse by the exercise that came before it.

I'm loving the pics so much. The same goes for Exploroween. Most of the work we do shows how places are devoid of man. I love how these meet ups show that abandonments are still being used by man.

I have zero photos I like from this trip. But want to thank TRUE for doing this and I'm diggin getting together with everyone. I'm sure with the holidays coming up, getting together together as a group will be tough. But for those who are going out on their own that I spoke to here and on Halloween, get in touch. I'll join if I can!

I was looking through the events tab and saw that the 2nd annual Bunker Run BBQ is coming up. Just a reminder to everyone and to confirm its still going down?

Why yes! Yes is is. I would like to officially invite everyone who reads this. Saturday September 14 @ 11:AM. Last year had a good turn out. I'm hoping for one as good or better this time around. We will be checking out the WWII Coastal Defense bunkers in the city of San Francisco. It's a low key get together. (no trespassing)So bring the family or friends. This year will be more of a pot luck. I will provide the briquettes, so bring your favorite BBQ food. Hiking boots, water, and beer aren't a bad idea to bring. Thanks for the bump RM. see you there!!!

Thanks for pointing out the event. I hadn't noticed it. I'll come along to meet some old friends and hopefully a few new faces. (BTW, the right sidebar on the event page has an 11pm start time).
