| | Specific Otis Keys < on 9/18/2012 10:35 AM >
| | | Hi, Does anybody know what keys are used for Otis Gen2 lifts (By keys I mean the keys needed to unlock the little independent service/lights/fan flap in the cab). Is it a BGM30 key by any chance? And once inside this panel, are any further keys needed to make the ind. service function, or is it just switches? Another Otis key question: What do the "G" series (GA, GB, GE) series of keys do? Will a GA key (Just like a UTA key on a Series 1-5 Otis) activate the ind. service on older Otis lifts? And does the GA key unlock the twin-door independent service panel on the Otis Autotronic series of lifts? Or do I need another entirely? Sorry for all the questions, Regards, Upstart.

| | | I honestly have no idea. Your best bet is probably to call up the otis support line. Do your homework, (get some serial numbers, have an address, installation date, etc) and string up some story that requires knowing about the keys. If they need information you don't have, say you're going to go ask your manager, hang up, grab a clipboard, print a nametag, and go find it. If you play your cards right, you can probably have a nice set of keys shipped to your door.
