| | Anyone own a Cannon T70? < on 8/27/2012 11:47 PM >
| | | Hey guys! About a year ago I acquired a Canon T70 film camera! The quality of the shots I've taken has been phenomenal, and it's very easy to use.. However, I think maybe three times since I got the camera, at about halfway through a roll it stops letting me take pictures, and makes a beeping sound for a second or two if I try to take one. It fixed itself on its own once, switching lenses fixed it once, and another time I think a just rewound the film? It's very annoying, and since half the urbexers I know are great with the technical aspect of cameras (I'm a total noob when it comes to "good" cameras), I'm hoping someone maybe has a quick fix to this? Gracias!

| | | I've had a couple T70s and this has never happened to me. The beeping is supposed to indicate the end of the roll I'm sure you know. Maybe you owe it to yourself to get the T90?

| | | My mentor Troy, used a T90 for eons for night film work. Completely manual shutter that doesn't die when the battery dies. So ... long exposures are all manual. Maybe the T70 is having connector problems with camera battery? No idea ... but I think a T90 is a well oiled machine based on the work I've seen done with it. My 2c, but ya .. T90 .. upgrade, move on. Got your licks in on a T70, so why not? Just a troll link for ya. http://lostamerica.com/technique/

| | | I know my canon AE-1 beeps whenever you have the self timer on, I dunno if it is the same for the T70 though.

| | | Have you changed the batteries? I had a T70 and my batteries exploded. No beeping though. Loved that camera.

| | | I love it too the quality of the pictures is incredible. No I haven't tried to change the batteries actually, that could very well be the problem. Don't think I had it on self timer this past time, but I'll pay attention to that too. Seems to be working now!! I'd love to treat myself to a T90.. and if my T70 keeps acting up maybe I will just got a raise after all! Until then I'll just hope that nothing goes wrong. Thanks guys!

| | | Well you guys know a camera is just a light box right? With terrible lenses and terrible film a great camera will be ...less great.
