I went in to this building today and looked around some of the ground floor. As I expected, there are still artists in there preparing for the opening this coming weekend. It wouldn't surprise me if they are still painting up until the opening day though everything that I saw looked finished.

It was okay at 7-ish, but got crazy before 8pm.

(Pardon the fisheye abuse and the shitty framing of the last one.)

I was there. Stuck with a 50mm prime, so be ready.

I think it would be absolutely hilarious if everyone ended up contributing exactly one focal length/shooting style each. I got the 10mm fisheye, you got the 50mm short tele (assuming APS-C). Basegrinder can chime in with what he used w/flash.

Nice. That looks like Dog the Bounty Hunter if he got back on the drugs again.

But not entirely unexpected.

Yep. When you pull every writer, tagger and artist from the greater bay area into one spot at one time you can unfortunately expect the surrounding area to be tagged up by the time it's over.

By the way, the warehouse will be open from 12-7pm on Sundays during September if anyone missed the show. Even if the art doesn't interest you too much, the combination of the building and the art can make for some good photos.

17-50...and a 85 I never used. And a 24mm on film.

All the pictures I saw of this place from a few years ago made it seem like those round 'cutouts' were huge. But it was all wide angle trickery.

But then again those photos were all from the usual bay area urbex suspects on flickr who are 51% gearsturbation/49% exploring.

Great set... I was there a few months ago and by the equipment on site, I thought they were refurbishing the joint. Glad to see they haven't done away with the amazing local art yet!
