I find that I have difficulty sleeping the night before a big trip. I may just get up and begin driving at 4am rather than toss and turn.

I totally agree! The night before an explore i may as well not even bother laying down. My mind is on equipment check lists and excitement good so its not just me

Hmm now that you mention it (OHAI ASTRO ) I have been having problems sleeping soundly after an explore.Ithink our brains are over processing what we have seen? and perhaps physically,we still have a high level of dopamine coursing through us

i havent had any sort of 24 hour body rhythm for years, and my sleep schedule is haphazard at best.

3 hours of sleep the last two days. Gonna take a nap I think. After I watch a movie...

...but to answer the question, i dont think exploring caused it, but god knows exploring at all hours of the night hasn't helped the situation...

If you want to protect the locations you love to explore, don't talk about them online in public!
If you want to make exploring friends, send people private messages! Meet up in real life! Get off the internet!
Don't try to have a UER e-penis! You won't impress anyone! This especially means you, Minneapolis MN newbies!

I never ever sleep before explores I'm worried about or explores I'm incredibly excited for. Normally at about three AM I'll take melatonin...pass out by five...then wake up at 6 AM and leave exhausted and mentally strained.

Makes for some good sploring.

I've suffered insomnia, but never because of exploring. I've gone out exploring as a result of insomnia, however.

I sleep quite well before, during and after explorations. However, in everyday life I'm suffering from chronic sleep deprivation.

I should explore more.

The only time exploring interferes with my sleep schedule is when, like a lot of you guys, it's the night before a big explore and I'm imagining how awesome it's going to be. Usually if it's the night after an explore I'm dead beat and pass out after uploading photos. My job has the most random schedule, so maybe that's why I haven't noticed anything, who knows.

The only time exploring interferes with my excuse for a sleeping schedule is when I stay out all night exploring.

Rooftops ahoy!

Seriously though, unless you're exploring at night to evade security, there's not much you can do at night that you can't do in the daytime.

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.

Sometimes, but I usually just wind up missing my ride if I don't get to sleep early enough.

Keeping in mind "early enough" is anytime from 12 to 2 am
