I like them all, especially #1. Just says desolation and loneliness.

1 is great.
2-3 are decent.
4's exposure/coloring seems a little off.

#2 is cool and would look awesome in black & white!

And personally, I think the colors in #4 look GREAT. I like it.

1. looks out of focus. Try several shots at different aperatures to get depth of field and use a tripod if you can.

4. Good natural lighting with rays of light peaking in. I seem to be partial to this ... just a trend lately.

1. Is out of focus. Also there is no information to the left if the door. It is distracting and not straight.
The subject seems to be the sink but it is really dark. Make the subject brighter and try to bring back a little info from the window.

2. Fix your perspective. It looks like you were tilting down a bit.

3. Is a little boring. Also the quality of the lens takes away even more from this on the edges.

4, Is a little contrasty.

Good start though.

My 12 piece concentraition was on abandonment, and as a theme I used windows. I put 3. Towards the end of the portfolio to add some feelings of desolation - almost like an escape is needed. The 18x24 print looks nice, and although it's not "urbexy", I think I'll still include it.

I think 3 could be made less boring if the glass and debris was alot more closeup.
