I believe if you have access to the main panel if you cut the telecommunications wires then the horn. You'll be home free. Now I do not recommend this as it is then breaking and entering, destruction of property.

You just go right on believing that. The systems that are on monitoring are talking to the company 24/7, usually continuously. They go silent, there's immediately a trouble alert at the monitoring service.

You cut the horn, and you now have no way to tell the system's been tripped.

Only reason I didn't get nailed in my location is that I heard a keypad chiming and went to investigate. I had walked out onto the main stairway, and the keypad was showing MOTION LOBBY on it. We immediately GTFO. Of course, to make it more fun, there was a Sheriff's vehicle sitting right next to our exit point... but he left a couple tense minutes later without walking up to the gate that we were trapped next to. Don't know how he got there so fast, but pretty happy the lazy #^*@#$ didn't get out of the car to look around.

Edit: fat fingered.

Ricky, it may not tell where exactly in the building there is movement detected, but still they will send someone to investigate why they lost signal to the alarm.

Cutting a phone line is the easy part as it's commonly found on the outside of the building. Gaining access to the cellular line involves having to enter the building, make your way past the keypad and armed zones and actually find the alarm system.

For example if you were the cut the phone line at my house, you might be able to gain entry but the door/window sensors would trigger or the motion sensor would trigger. You'd then have to find the cellular connection which is with the alarm control panel. By the time you finished searching the house for it, it would be too late. The exception would be if it's mounted in plain sight but most installers I would think, try to use some stealth.

Srsly guys, if you need to be worrying about cutting wires and bypassing alarm systems it might be best not to enter that particular location.

Ever heard about a cell phone jammer?
But it's illegal in case you wonder.

Yes but I've also heard about torches, grenades and napalm. It's all about how extreme you want to take it.

Your posting reminds me of this guy in Aurora and what he has in his apartment.
I believe they are still trying to disarm all the traps he build there.

But you are right, when you get caught using a cell phone jammer you might need to pay a fine up to $11000, when you are caught with your stuff you go to prison for terrorist bombing.
