| | | Damn those spots from the light! Otherwise, this is epic! My only critique is that there are not enough photos.

| | | My only critique is... you've had much better photos and compositions in the past. These are... ok. Not stunning. Budah has been stunning.

| | | It's too bad the flash is so clearly visible on the surface of the water in the second one, but I still really like it. I love the reflections off of the water (other than the big orb from the flash). Not enough people think to use reflected light off of things like glass and water to light their photographs, but it's a fairly simple way to get all kinds of interesting effects. I wish more people would do it intentionally.

| | | Thanks. And I agree. UER needs more fun effects and stuff. It was actually a little greenish tint flashlight with an adjustable beam, and I wanted the reflection visible for effect, but I can see what you mean. I suppose I probably could have done the same thing with on camera flash and it would have been 10x easier, but that's no fun. I'll try editing it out and see how it looks [last edit 5/2/2012 2:38 PM by budda - edited 2 times]

Ah, yeah. Looking at the photo in retrospect, I could see what you were going for. The composition of the shot is pretty good. The eye naturally follows the ladder down and ends at the bright spot in the water. I think the only problem is that the spot is so bright that it then draws your attention away from all of the interesting stuff going on under the water with the pipes and whatnot. Maybe you could just soften it a bit so that it's not so distracting or even try to remove it all together. As long as you're already manipulating the photo, you might also want to try and bring the brightness of everything above the water down a bit and that will help push people's attentions down to the water and all of the interesting stuff going on underneath it.

| | | Your photos are really amazing! Since I first met you in 2009, I've seen a huge amount of improvement in your photography! I'm glad you had so much fun at MAMU! But the last photo seems to have disappeared from Flikr. So my critique is: It sucks!!!

| | | Thanks for such nice words. And I honestly can't believe it's already been 3 years since then, and besides some demolition, Hudepohl's hardly changed. And of course Mamu 4 was legendary epic. I can't wait for Infil and other excuses to see everybody again. It's already been far too long. Also Here's the missing photo lol.

| | | Nice, clean, solid, work. Good, straight-up documentary-style compositions relying on subject and a good eye. Commendable all round! Neko.
