Ugh. Just read a little.

"The first step in treatment following a bee sting is removal of the stinger itself. The stinger should be removed as quickly as possible without regard to method: studies have shown the amount of venom delivered does not differ whether the sting is pinched or scraped off and even a delay of a few seconds leads to more venom being injected. [4]

Once the stinger is removed, pain and swelling should be reduced with a cold compress."

Read it. It's informative.

I always found making a paste out of meat tenderizer and applying it to a sting worked well for me. Obviously if you've got allergies, this doesn't apply. But for those of us non-mutants, it seems to work well :p

I remember when I first started rock climbing in the Mississippi river valley and put my hand into a hole full of bees, the meat tenderizer worked wonders.

Thanks haha. To me I'm not paranoid of how much the sting will hurt. I can deal with pain. What makes me paranoid is they are so small and can fly sometimes faster then my eyes can focus on them. It's not having any control over something so small that gets me. I have ran into various nests in sheds and other random places so I was curious what everyone has saw in abandonments.

Well, well, googling for knowledge. not.
Try finding this on goggle:

Carry a sharp pocket knife at all times. Use it as I described if possible to leverage the stinger out. Don't break off the stinger or leave any behind, it will become infected.

Benadryl cream or powder plus DMSO(if you carry it, I do) applied topically. Take some Benadryl orally too.

Few carry ice in the field and this treatment works better.

Your security measures were inadequate.
How unfortunate for you.

DMSO works better. I always have ice, but never use for swelling/pain. If you have to sling ice on it, the day is over.

Normally the sting reaction is localized and not life threatening as long as the swelling doesn't press on the airway.

If you do suffer multiple stings and/or have a severe reaction prompt medical attention is critical.

An emergency is any sign of breathing distress including wheezing, airway impingement, or going into shock. Any sting inside the mouth, especially to the tongue or back of the throat can become life threatening very quickly.
Soda cans, cups, check them before drinking.

You must start treatment or get help fast. Increasing your heart rate will hasten the reaction, calling 911 maybe your only option if you have a long walk/ride and no appropriate first aid. If you must, walk, don't run, try to stay calm.

If you got sudafed or benadryl, take it. Apply the benadryl topically with DMSO to the sting(s), this will help within minutes, but don't trust it to save you. If you have epinephrine sticks, consider using it. It will knock the shit out of you, but you'll be able to breathe. Then get to a hospital ASAP.

This means in this area here, drive as fast as you can and call them that you are on your way. They might send a trooper your way as most areas are in the middle of nowhere.

What is DMSO? I know what Wikipedia said, but how does it look like when I buy it?

That is a good plan.
If you're going into shock or can't breathe, and have no one else to drive you, things get dicey.

It's a super free-radical scavenger. It limits damage, swelling, and pain by neutralizing free radicals that are produced by damage to cells. It works on any kind of soft tissue injury such as sprains, burns, and such. It goes directly through the skin and will drag other drugs and chemicals with. *Clean hands and skin* It doesn't work well on deep joints like the hip, but great on knees, wrists, ankles, etc.
It's better than ice. Shit's plain voodoo magic.

Try to get it in darken glass bottles (it is a plastic solvent), medical grade (99.99% pure), with no water added. Use water to wash it off or dilute it if needed (best to use full strength). Find it online, at better small health food stores, and vet supply places for horses carry it. If you have trouble PM me, I know at least two good sources that ship.

Use sparingly, 2X @ day joint pain. If used long term, use a good antioxidant package to quench the free radicals the DMSO will produce as a normal byproduct (Krebs cycle).
