|  | | | A few weeks ago, I visited what used to be known as The Town and Country Drive-In in Denton TX. According to this site: http://cinematreas...org/theaters/28769, it has been closed since 1982. I didn't get very many great shots, but I'm hoping Captain Slow and halien, who were also in attendance, will chime in with some of their pics.
1. Here's one view of the main room. 
2. Same main room, different angle.
3. One of the side rooms. You can tell kids/homeless have done their fair share of partying in here.
4. Shot from the same room, showing what used to be the ceiling. Clearly, scrappers have had their way with the place.
5. "If you are hear, plz sine". We demurred.
6. I liked this former window.
7. Duct work in the ceiling.
8. This chair has almost completed the process of becoming a tree. Brings to mind some of the Pre-Socratics but that's another thing entirely
9. These dudes really didn't like Baltimore. It's a shame no decent graffiti artists have applied their talent here.

| | | | OKAY MY PICTURES OF THIS SUCK PLEASE DON'T HATE ME FOR BUILDING ANTICIPATION. I thought I had more/better, but here's what I got. I know Cap'n got some better ones, look forward to that. Here's a written catalog of the grotesquerie, as best I can remember:
1) A child's lunchbox, filled to the BRIM with make-up.
2) A child's backpack, don't remember exactly what was inside.
3) An assortment of women's clothing.
4) Men's sweatpants with a GINORMOUS waistband.
5) Some lingerie with fake boobs stuffed into the chest area - fake boobs made out of NERF balls?
6) A hardcore porno mag.
7) A pair of extremely soiled children's panties.
8) Lotion.
9) A butt plug.
10) Lube.
11) A small drug kit including a hypodermic needle and clean water.
As best we can tell, two very large dudes came out here, got high as shit, and played out some sort of weird child-sex/transgender/poopoo/doodoo fantasies on each other. That's what we're hoping, at least.

Actually... Little bit of trivia... Originally Don Doucheman was Buttram, because he looks more like me, but I got sick of drawing the hair every panel so I gave Buttram his beanie and then re-used the old Buttram a few comics later as Don Doucheman. When I re-drew Buttram though, I left off the beard because it's a lot easier to work in weird or funny looking facial expressions like huge grins without the beard.
