I get that he plagiarized, that seems pretty concrete, but what is with the intense amount of animosity? And after reading this thread, following all the links therein, it just seems like both parties involved have gone to great lengths to bash each other. I get that this hobby tends to cause huge riffs between people, but this just seems sort of... petty to me. I want to add I'm not defending Greg Brick, because he does indeed seem like a total douche, but its hard to draw conclusions based off comments and speculation on biased websites. So pretty much, why is there so much hate between these two? Is it just because Max Action inadvertently "stole his thunder" years ago? Because if so, Mr. Brick should just get his head out of his ass. In a lot of cases, we (explorers)go to the same locations, and in a lot of instances take similar pictures or video, and to me that's just how it goes. If somebody goes to my usual hospital, and takes some pictures, I'm not going to claim they are stealing my thunder. Nobody has said anything publicly until the book came out with a passage from Max's website almost verbatim. Max wasn't going to sit idle on that one, and neither would anyone I know if it happened to them. The prick ends up sueing Max to scare him into silence. it didn't work. Greg is a lifelong student at 50, and if he wants any chance at a job, plagiarism isn't good on a resume. You SEO me, fuck knob shouldn't have did it. But in his mind it is ok because he doesn't like or respect Max, or anyone younger than him. He is NOT responsible for his own actions. Some people have decided to hold him accountable.
