| | 4 photos of a derelict tractor < on 3/24/2012 10:57 PM >
| | | I don't very often post photos, probably because I don't very often have access to a scanner. I'm looking to get better at photography, so I submit for your approval some pics that I took last weekend. For all these, I used a Canon AE-1 with Fuji super HQ 200 film. I am NOT happy with these scans, the scanner made the pictures look overexposed and the colors muted. Maybe it's because the prints were too glossy? 1. 2. 3. 4. This one very noticeably looks overexposed, but the print looks fine. Any advice on scanning prints so this doesn't happen?

| | | Might be your monitor settings? They don't look overexposed here.

| | | Yea they look fine, and the colors are vibrant. 2 is a little boring. Also, scan negs, not prints

| | | looks to be a ford 1920/2120 tractor loader. Nice find! Did you touch these up at all after you scanned them? A little contrast may go a long way. As much as I love 1970-1980's farm equipment I find the subject matter a little bland

No, I did not touch them up. I've really never had any experience with post-processing. If I get a decent scanner it might be worth my while to download photoshop and figure out how to use it, but it's not often that my photos get into the computer.
