Hi, I'm j & I've been into UE for a long time. I've previously just lurked on this site & utilized it for locations / information, but upon finding some recent posts in my area in the last few years, I figured it'd be an awesome community to try & be a part of.

I just moved to Boulder, CO recently (from NY) & have not been incredibly successful finding new spots, but I do have some photos & stuff from earlier this year in NY that I hope to post soon.

Happy to be here!

Hey all just found out about this site weirdly enough outside an abandoned psych hospital right near my alma mater, where I was visiting with an arts group. There was a nice guy dressed in camo coming out of the building as I was going in, he told me to join. Most of it had burned down the year before my freshman year, so I never thought to go, but my partner said she'd been there before and it was easy to get into. It was, although we saw security after like 20 minutes and got the heck out. Here's a few cell phone snaps from inside:

Next time I'm going to not wear a dress and bring a real camera and some climbing gear; I almost fell through a couple of floors and my dress was ruined by the brambles. But it was really cool! I've been to other abandoned buildings over the years and would like to maybe do some art projects in them

Nice to meet you all!

I'm riz, and I've been into exploring places when I can for a while, and into the research aspect of old abandoned buildings. I'm super interested in the history behind any sites especially if they're like time capsules and stuff. I'm in the upstate NY area and have poked around some local places before, but I'm still inexperienced so far.

Hi! My Name's Emilia, I live in Ottawa. I love listening to rock music like Bon Jovi and To/Die/For. Just trying to find cool locations and fun things to do with my free time. Ive been to exploring three seperate times, but I find it hard to find new locations, close enough, that I'm willing to go out to.

Hey y'all, I've been real interested in Urbex for awhile now and have only now gotten any real chances to partake. The location I'm in (Southern Saskatchewan, Canada) doesn't really have too many abandoned locations that are interesting (after your tenth early 1900s barn it gets real boring). But after discovering some very interesting locations recently, I've really gotten into it. Very excited to do some more exploring, definitely will update y'all on anything cool I find!

Greetings from Chuck in Taos, New Mexico.
Love all things old that exude stories and ghost vibes, but new to actually going inside those places and looking around.
Recently learned about this site from an episode of the Podcast Abandoned America.
I'm probably older than most everyone on this site I'll bet so no heroics or gymnastics on my part, and a medium profile job and family responsibilities means I have to treat lawbreaking of any sort (trespassing included) with great care, so not yet as daring as I hope to become.
Most of the ruins around here are on the small side (old cabins and empty gas stations rather than factories or warehouses) but I've definitely got the bug and the forums here are inspiring.
Looking forward to learning more, picking up tips, and upping my exploring game here in rural northern New Mexico and beyond.

There are people that have been here for 14+ years and some that are 15-18, so don't worry about feeling out of place. The community here is very wide and there is a variety of age groups. I'm sure there's one for you too.

I thought I had filled this out already but I guess I haven't, whoops.

Hi im Jason (or Jay, I don't have a preference,) and Ive been doing urbex for probably 4-5 years now? I currently am in college studying art and love to urban explore on the side, cause I've always loved seeing places that are "time capsules of the past," if that makes sense. I also really like music, concerts, and raves, and listen to pretty music everything. I also really like hockey (go avs!) Anyway, if you're in the Chicago area, or the Quad Cities area, please hmu!! Im always looking for new explorer friends
