for as long as i can remember, when i visit this gas station, there are 2 stray cats. its been almost a year now. they sit at the sliding door each night. tonight i saw them eating a can of dinty moore. when i got to the clerk, i asked if he was the one who feeds them he said said "yes". i went back down the isle and got a few cans of tuna, paid and as he tried to put them in my bag i said. "no, its for the cats, tell them its on me/" i miss my cats alot.

Human canned tuna isn't that bad given in moderation. If it's packed in oil, it's great for preventing and treating hairballs. I wouldn't give it to my cats as their only source of food, but every day or two as one meal instead of three is usually okay. My cats usually eat up to five times a day, counting snacks. They're pigs and sometimes I wonder if I'm raising horses instead of cats. The cats eat when we eat, that way they stay off the kitchen table and on the floor.
Anyway, I had one cat that ate nothing but tuna cat food. She did just fine and she ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cat food tuna is usually processed with extra added vitamins and taken from the darker parts of the fish that contain more oils and fats. She also got treats of cooked ground beef liver too, so that may have had something to do with it as well. She had no teeth, the tuna was easy to chew and it was the only wet cat food she liked. She wasn't much on dry but she loved that.
