I think this may be one of the oldest intact underground utility systems on the west coast. Water still flows freely through the sewer.

Is that an actual sewer or just a drain?

I'm not really sure what you mean, but I don't think there was much of a difference in those days.

It is where the streets would've been, rather than routing some natural feature if that's what you mean. There were houses along the streets and I assume they were connected to it, so it probably carried both, storm and shit.

I've been scouting a particular house for about a week now but noticed a light flicker on inside today, turned around and left feeling disappointed that it was a dud, fortunately I got lucky and stumbled upon another about a block away. Langley is a gold mine for recently abandoned homes right now. There is so much residential development around there that I'm often coming across entire city blocks that have been abandoned. None of these places will last long but right now the area is so ripe for exploring, I would bet that most of these places are at least months behind in the queue for demolition.

My apologies in advance for the poorly balanced photos, doing what I can in post processing to accommodate for my shattered camera lens these days. I'm actually pretty impressed at how well smartphones can focus even with the cover glass completed destroyed. New lens should be here in about a week.

I know the type, I've put over 15,000 km on my KLX250 this summer, a lot of that being flat out high RPM freeway mileage through the Fraser Canyon, Coquihalla, and Crowsnest. On the bright side these tamer engines sure do encourage us to detour and find alternative routes, often leading us to spots we'd normally bypass.

Those little TW's are like mountain goats. We got ourselves into more shit just seeing if they would climb this, or make it through that...

By the looks of it I'm sure! That bike looks perfect for exploring. I have a bmw 800gs, its a great bike and can go a lot of places but I find myself refusing to go in tight spots since its abit of a beast to turn around lol

I have a 1000 V-Strom. I've had it in some spots where I thought 'I definitely am on the wrong bike for this' My biggest worry is dropping it in a spot where I cant pick it up. I'll try som more adventurous trails in a group, ut by myself I usually try to keep it pretty sane.

Covered 2650 km over the last 5 days, 30 hours of driving looping over to Drumheller, through the Kootenays, and back into the Lower Mainland. Visited some family and visited a bunch of spots that I've been meaning to check out for years. Here's a quick look, I'll update the individual threads and DB entries when I have some more time.
