The rope swings are indeed pretty gnar.

An obvious location that's worth the hike. A hundred year old poured concrete culvert out in the woods, for a railway that was never built:

Speaking of railway...here are a couple pictures I took this summer of a long-abandoned railroad in Golden Ears Provincial Park. Probably from an old logging operation...I thought it was pretty cool. I wondered how far it would take me if I followed it...

Train trestle on the island.... not a bad spot for some fun 100' rope swing off the bridge. :D

Things sure are different in Canada!
Americans generally don't do bridges in the daytime. There are exceptions.

Is anyone in Vancouver looking into the old Finning/ BCIT buildings on Great Northern Way that are being torn down?

Sweet trip Azazel, would have been fun to check it out with you lot.

There are few things that I have ever done more intense then hopping trains. It is basically a 5000 ton meat slicer with no friendly parts and a bad disposition.

its not that scary, the most exciting is getting on and off. its hard being a ninja in the yard sometimes with a dog, instrument, and backpack.

I can't help but swell a bit with pride, it started over a year ago with one lonely pair of my old swat boots.

Third try, finally got inside the old Plz Fv Hndrd hotel. No roof access, and not much to see beside bare floors, skeletal walls, some tools, and Tim Hortons cups -- although my exploration was somewhat curbed by the onsite security. I think I was playing cat-and-mouse with him/her in the stairwells at one point -- though they didn't call out, so maybe they didn't hear me.

Can't even remember the last time I was on a rooftop (that wasn't at work).

I always thought it would be a great picture if you could get to the roof of the Lee Building and shoot the downtown city lights.
