Yes, museum.... but from what I understand they have limited tour schedules and the collection is being broken up and 2/3rd of it will be sold/auctioned off. The owner died three years ago and his family doesn't share his same "passion" for military vehicles.

That's really too bad...

If you ever make a trip up to NorCal, you should look into getting in on a tour.

Dude why haven't I heard of this place before? Just my luck they're closing. This is just as bad as visiting Fort Knox and finding out they had moved all the tanks to Georgia.

To contribute a photo from a year ago

I'll definitely look into it. I'm headed up there pretty soon.

Thanks, the cat belongs to a friend of mine. He does something different every year for the lighted boat parade. I was riding around town looking for some nice fog shots and found this one instead. Everything was swaying around a little and I shot it at 1/6 of a second, so it's not a sharp as I would have liked.

This is the Bakersfield plant that injured some people pretty badly during a botched demo.Shrapnel went flying across local streets and resulted in the partial amputation of a mans leg from injuries he sustained. We happened to see it driving by and got a few pictures under the watchful eye of a security guard 50 yards from us. I guess they already had enough lawsuits for the time being.

Thanks Eddy, the goal there really was to make it seem less boring.

(If you have some experience with astronomy, you can spot the constellation Cassiopeia, and find the Andromeda galaxy relative to it. Higher-res version in Flickr will show the latter better.)
