Apartment weight restrictions on dogs - loopholes?
< on 4/28/2011 4:08 PM >

Okay, so my Kasey is about 70-74lb black lab, the place I'm renting says if I want to keep the pet, it must weigh no more than 50lbs (of course there is about 5lbs wiggle room) I need to come up with something 'from a vet' that states he is 55lbs. Now I have a rabies certificate from last year that the weight wasn't filled in from one of those 888petvet.com places. Would it be advisable to go ahead and put that he is 55lbs for thier files? If I make a copy of it, it looks like a copy of the real thing, but I'm not sure if this will work??

P.S. This is not the type of place that will actually call and verify.

ok, problem solved itself. They went ahead and accepted the deposit for him without asking for the verification. I already paid the deposit in full & signed all the paperwork... Is this something they can come back and hit me with later?

Theoretically? if the mgmt. is a real dick and they somehow manage to find out?- yes

Realistically? you'll be fine.

I have a banned breed over the weight limit. He never barks, isn't destructive and is the favorite dog in the building. All they care is I pay their stupid fees.
