Poppy will eat only if Shutterbug or I are in the kitchen watching her. That was a habit she developed about three months ago. We'll just leave the room and finally when she's hungry enough, she'll eat.

Shutterbug thinks Poppy may have nearly choked on her food once while she was alone and might be scared to be alone in case it happens again. Her (selective) memory is pretty good.

Another habit of hers is whenever I open a beer, she'll come into the kitchen, sit pretty and lick her lips. I had a beer for the first time since last summer and she immediately remembered that.

Typical loveable bonehead that mutt!

One of my cats drops his toys in the toilet bowl and fishes them out, over and over. Another of my cats (who is 4 yrs old) goes through the motions of nursing off my MALE cat who is 15 years old religiously. He follows him around the house trying to get to his belly! My cats also lick plastic bags and dry hump stuffed animals.....odd! My dog is somewhat normal but he does have cat like mannerisms since he was raised with them.

My dog Oskar eats corn like a human! I obviously have to hold the cob for him due to lack of hands but he only bites the kernels and goes from one side to the other, then I turn it a bit and he starts from side to side again. He even does the 3 bites and chew thing, it's freaking cute!

I'll post a video as soon as it's corn eating season again but in the mean time, here's some pics of my little guy:

My dog Cody has a black squeaky rat that he adores. He has mangled other toys but he treats this one very carefully, like it's his baby. He also seems fond of leaving it in my front window sill which has given me a slight heart attack on more than one occasion.

Sophie, our calico cat loves to sleep with Cody and she appears to try to nurse off him (we won't delve too deeply into what I suspect she might actually be doing). She's fat, lazy but will let you pet her.

Shiva the manx cat is a sketchy one, preferring to be left alone but likes to climb up on shoulders at times.

K this isn't my cat but my friend's two cats who are brother and sister both drool excessively when you pet them for a while. I find it hilarious but my friend thinks it's gross

My one dog Dexter like to lay in the window. He thinks he is a cat sometimes. Also there is a whole dinner dance that goes on as well

My rottweiler bugs likes to pick up tires huge tires when people walk by an bites them and throws the tires around runs upto the people barks and grabs the tires somemore(the tires are pretty heavy to)P.S.he's about 15 yrs old now and has no more teeth due to grabbing large tree branches and whatever else he could, hence why he eats soft can food now.

We also have a cat that we found that was living in a dumpster using plastic bags and newspaper for warmth,we took her home and would find her sleeping in our garbage cans and sometimes inside plastic bags sleeping. We were scared she suffocate but she would bite her way out of the bags a few times we seen her walking upto are house with bags wrapped around her like a super hero like some of the cats mentioned above, anyways she turned into a house cat and weve had her for over 16yrs now.

So I've started noticing Envy, pictured below, likes to go into the washroom after I've been in there. Whether it be washing my face, brushing my teeth, showering, it doesn't matter. The other week I was in there about to wash up but I was hidden behind the door & she runs in, see's me and almost looked surprised and meows at me and leaves. As I'm leaving I see her waiting for me outside the door, I leave and she goes in. WTF cat?

Haha cats are so hilariously quirky. My cat Omar has tons of weird WTF habits....

- When you fill up the food bowl he won't touch the kibble until you give him a good 5 minutes of petting, then he looks at me, sniffs the food, and eats.

- We leave the back door open all day for the pets to go in and out as long as the weather is nice... but Omar will still sit at the front door and when you come by he meows and reaches for the door knob

- He is always waiting outside the bathroom when I get out of the shower, and loves to be petted on the head while you have wet hands. Or, he will come into the bathroom and when you get out of the shower, he jumps up and meows until you pet him, and he starts purring like crazy.
