i just had a very strange dream.... think i will share it here.

i was riding with bradley. it was a hot september night, we went down town, to a few places on a nice slow twisty road thru oak cliff i think. past the 20 million dollar homes and soccer moms. his bald head reflected the setting sun, my long hair getting tangled in the wind. "on to the next stop?" he asked me as we pulled up to the light and clicked the rigs in to first as we came to a stop like twins. we were in sync. we ride- we rode, that way for years, him and i. jim joins us out of nowhere. his grey fatboy lumbers up and finds a place next to us as we ride thru the tunnel into deep ellum. another light, a "guy nod" happens, the light goes green and we 3 set it up and set it off. into down town just us, the tall glass and steel office buildings our only witness to our ride- its dark now. rick joins us from behind, we ride now stagerd 2 by 2. up old harry hines, to kellers. there we stop and have beers and chill, while sitting on our rigs. no words were said. we ride again and 1 by 1 we leave onto our own way home. one is gone for good. one is lost forever, one is always there and here am i, not belonging to anything or anyplace.
i ride alone again. into the night, just wishing i can make ity thru the night to see the sun rise again.

i thought about that dream alot today. i still dont know what it means. i may never know. but it was good to see my friends faces again if only in a dream.
friends like brad, jim and rick are very hard to come by- i am blessed that i know the 2 that are still here on this rock. someday in some shitty truckstop chow joint i will run into rick, i just know it. jim is alway at the other end of the fon, and bradley, well he has a stone from me on his grave every time i vist him. these 3 men/ bikers had a huge influence on my life. if you dont know what that means than you are missing out on alot. "i will see you in hell brothers!"
