Posted by The Seeker haha, thanks swizz. but, i have another dilema that could make for some interesting conversation... Canon EOS 7D, or Canon 70-200/ 2.8 L lens...? I do a lot of sports photography, and they are both the same price.. and I want a new body REALLY bad, but which would be a better investment? opinions? |

Posted by Uzi- I don't know about 12,800 on the 7D being better than 1600 on the XSI I would say 6400 is more comparable. I think swizzler brings up a good point about the 70-200 F4L. Its one of the cheapest L's out there if you could swing the 7D and it together it would save you some money. I don't think you could make up the difference that the 2.8L can offer to stop action in lower light though. I would search all the craigslist or similar classifieds around you. I was lucky enough to get a 70-200 2.8L used for $950 right after I bought my 7D. |
Posted by GORE It's a great camera but heavy as hell. The 14-24 is a great combo but you may be pretty paranoid because of the exposed element depending on the kinds of places you are shooting (not to mention the cost of the camera as well). Keep in mind it will also limit your options for lens choices, so if you want something with a zoom you are most likely looking at a 14-24, 24-70 and possibly at 70-200 (although that's not all that useful for UE) But yes it delivers as expected. |
