There's so few of us around we notice new folks pretty quickly.

I wish Calgary had new folks...

That's actually my buddy, we've been exploring for some time. I've only started posting on this site after having lurked for a while. Most of my explorations are with him.

His link is

Initially I suspected he must be an LRT worker. Tell him he's welcome to join this site too.

I recall a few years ago when I visited Edmonton, I was very tempted to explore some of the LRT line 2 construction, but other explorers warned me away. I'd be very interested to hear more about what it's like to explore Edmonton's LRT tunnels.

Pretty funny because he's actually not. Just incredibly ballsy hahah. I finally broke my lrt tunnel cherry today and checked one out. albiet, very briefly but it was a step.

I attempted to check out Eden ski resort today but was almost immediately diverted by neighbors. They warned me of the owner of the resort being a not very welcoming kind. Despite that he gave me instructions on the best ways to get in, I made a vain attempt but eventually turned around and tried finding anything else in the area.
Today was pretty unsuccessful but thats just the way it goes sometimes!

Does anyone know if the Alberta hospital in ponoka is still standing? If so any information on what to watch out for while there would be appreciated

IF you DM me some coordinates I'll drive through there tomorrow. I'll be coming home in that general direction.

Do you mean the actual building No 1. of Provincial Ponoka Hospital or the smaller clinic hospital/multi use building in town? The small one in town was demo'd Aug 2017. I don't know about anything in the actual Alberta facility.

I'm making an attempt at sharing an album link so we'll see if it works. Thanks Germ for the coordinates. I took a drive through the hospital campus and the big old building is beautiful but I think it's higher risk. It's surrounded by all the newer buildings and there were cars parked right in front of it. The bottom windows have chicken wire fencing over them. There's only one building at the far back of the campus that looks older too but also appears used. I did not see any obvious cameras.

I was on the property and within about 5 mins had someone drive up and ask me what I was doing. I didn't get out of my vehicle and was there about 11 am this morning. The person wasn't in a security uniform though so maybe just thought I was lost.

I stopped by that concrete building in Ponoka too. It's fenced but wouldn't be a hard climb over. You'd just have to watch the curly wire at the top. I know there's been more RCMP monitoring there over the last year or so. A friend of mine went over the fence a few Sunday's ago and no problems. He said you'd probably need a ladder if you wanted to go up to the second levels. I like these kind of buildings but didn't attempt it. Running on little sleep and didn't feel like hooking myself on a fence LOL

That's all I got.

Album links are so much easier! I may just have to make a few more. I have tons of pics I haven't posted from the last 3 months!

Anytime. Just worked up that I was down that way. The big building is a designated historical site according to the sign in front. Maybe there's a "legit" way in...not as much fun lol
