It's been brought to my attention that the river valley sewage treatment plant has bitten the dust. I added it to the db for posterity but my pictures suck. Apparently I knew even less about photography 3 years ago than I do now. It'd be cool if y'all could add in your superior images to the DB entry. I think this location serves as a great example for newcomers here. Shows that there are places here that can sit relatively unnoticed for 50+ years and that it is worth getting out there to look.

Well, I validated it.

Have you guys heard any updates about the closing schools on the west end? Their fates may determine my next visit to Edmonton.

Very clever. I don't believe they can see the word if you capitalize the O..

I saw that too. They're turning it into a "park"? with a safe viewing area etc.

Hi guys! I'm new on the site, I thought I would introduce myself. I've born and raised in Edmonton and I'm also a novice at urban exploration. But I'm excited to see what's out there, and to contribute to the community! Also totally open to exploring new places with others, and to share what I've found (though it may not be stellar by the standards of the cool stuff I've seen so far)

It does kind of suck that it's happening, seems to be the eventual fate for lots of locations in the city if they gain popularity.

However I did notice before they put the fence up the amount of litter was going way up, in a way it's nice because it will be at least a little maintained by the city now

Welcome to UER!

imo End of the World was best before it ever appeared in the news, and that includes the litter situation. Not to say it was ever pristine, but it definitely got dirtier after getting famous.

Will do! I've been browsing the forums a lot to get a feel for the people here, but there's a lot to go through, even in this thread alone

And my attempt to make a deep and edgy username has gone awry

Looks like we can add Colchester school to the demolished list as well. 'Nother one bites the dust.
