The Coliseum would be an epic explore but probably damn near impossible

It's probably still in pretty 'working' shape. Utilities still on, staff still around.

Unlikely you'd ever find a place like that empty unless it was fully boarded up.

That's what I was thinking. It wasn't that long ago they were still pitching ideas to the City about other uses for the building. Definitely worth watching the story unfold!

Felt good to get out and stretch the urbex muscles a bit last night, even if it was freezing out. Thanks once again to Germ for his expertise in poe location and unexpected 4x4. XD

Your pics turned out well! It was fun and I think we need a "braved the -20" explorer badge. lol The 4x4'ing was definitely cool!

They turned out better than I expected! My hands were pretty eager to return to my gloves after every shot.

-20 explorer badge should totally be a thing. You listenin' mods?

A little sunset explore yesterday. If you look to the far right you'll see one of the power plants. I didn't go out to explore properties but pretty much tripped over this one. ;)

I drove by there the other night as I'd heard it was being demolished. Could be interesting! Here's hoping

Good way to check tracks going into some of the locations we're looking at! If only it wasn't going to be a deep freeze tomorrow.

I wish. Unfortunately there hasn't been a new badge in ages and I can't imagine that changing anytime soon.

I was actually thinking I'd be happy to do some redesigning for UER.ca for the 21st century, mainly the hex menu buttons on the left side- the font is fuzzy n stuff.

I don't know that -20ºC necessitates a badge, but perhaps a badge for "going to great lengths for the cause or community"?

Other suggestions (haha):

Other suggestions (haha):
  • International Explorer (Convention in more than one country)
  • UER Addict / Enthusiast / Fanatic / Veteran / (500, 1000, 2000, 5000 posts)
  • UER Leader - Has recruited x number of full members or organized x conventions or shown significant efforts to grow UER in their community

Some of those are good. There is worry about offering a badge for behaviours we don't want, such as posting way too much. But that last one is good. I mean it's still not gonna happen, but...

That's why I started it at 500 posts - I've been here nearly 3yrs and only have 300. A mod could review at the post milestone for spam. Haha

Yeah UER Leader could be a good one, they could replace the Full Member icon instead of being additional icons? Maybe UER Leader and UER Pioneer:

UER Leader:
UER Pioneer:
I'm serious about the design, though. haha
