Hi Lola, I've seen ya around on the forums, but don't think we have met. Yea we sure could, I just don't have much for sites, but thegerm can you usually find something! I am going to be busy most of today, but pretty much free starting at about midnight or a bit earlier

I'm a long time lurker but signed up within the last few months. I haven't met anyone yet! Chatted with a few of you but missed the meet ups this past summer.

Sites definitely seem to be a challenge in this city, unless you're into old barns! lol

It was great you guys! Thanks so much! I feel a little more alive today even though I'm running on about 3 hours of sleep. I had a lot of fun though and it's so good to put faces to names.

I'll throw up a few of my pics that actually turned out shortly.

The guys were quite intrigued with the boilers and computers and machines but I was amused with someone's great sticker collection of old WWF wrestlers. The pics don't do it justice. Hulkamania was alive and well at this location. ;)

Thanks again guys!

Yaaas! Now I'm sad I missed out! But it's rad y'all hooked up to go see some stuff!

Hahaha Hulkmania. That's awesome.

Aww poor Lola, 3hrs is rough! I just find myself yawning about every 2 minutes, that's the worst part. By the time 9pm rolls around the following day, I'm usually back to normal (I don't know how that works) then I crash and I'm good to go the next day.

Congrats on the lil meetup!

That's about how it went for me. Lots of coffee, a stop at IHOP and crashed at my normal time that night. Had a few hours of OMG I'm gonna die that afternoon but otherwise all good.

So rookie question for you guys...is there a way to message a group of you vs all individual? I want to share ideas on locations as I research them and I can't figure out how to message more than one person.

There is no way to group message, as we know it.

Your best bet might be to start a thread and then make it private, so then only full members (Matteo, Germ, Techno, myself and others) can see it, as well as yourself, only because you started the thread. The system includes non-full members in private posts if they post in the thread before it goes private.

Don't hesitate to start a new thread just cause it seems slightly unnecessary - it may turn into a 33-page discussion much like this one.

Any of you guys active Instagram people? A guy in Edmonton yesterday posted a pic from under one of the freeway bridges (one where there isn't a pedestrian crossing). It got a share on one of the "edmonton view" type feeds and now I think everyone will be exploring that bridge. People were all over it! I understand more why locations are protected, especially when there are so few of them.

The Quesnell bridge has a utility passage that people access a lot. I assume this picture is of the same passage?

It is. So maybe it's just me that doesn't know about it. LOL

Is it one of those "no trespassing" things? or just a guideline not to go there? Comparable to posting a pic from the "end of the world"??

I'm curious...

P.S. You can see it under dailyviewedmonton on IG

I suppose with Halloween coming, everyone wants to go somewhere spoopy, so all your TMNT and C.H.U.D fans will wanna go find a sewer or drain. But this is exactly why explorers don't usually post pics on such public places, it just attracts attention, without fail.
