RE. the the millwooos work.
"Our solution involves the design and construction of approximately 2 km of 2,400 mm sanitary tunnel and 3.4 km of 3,500 mm and 2,900 mm storm tunnel. We also converted the existing double barrel storm and sanitary trunk to full sanitary service, and reconnected the local storm sewers from the double barrel pipe to the new storm tunnel.""15-30m below surface"

not completed, and im not sure how they got 3.4 km. it must stretch past the anthony henday, where there is also ongoing work. feel free to contact me if anyone would like to explore

Well, looks like my primary exploring comrade has broken his foot. If you guys get up to anything in the next 6 weeks, I'd appreciate a tag-along.

New drain features: http://www.mikenic...Pipe-Treatment.pdf

I'd imagine all the work is done now. The first one should be accessible via outfall 44

IMG_7526 by the germ, on Flickr

Found an abandoned cottage in the river valley, still had electricity and most likely an armed alarm. Has a path going up to active facility with cameras.

It was a decent scout that I thought was a much higher risk due to accessibility to make a quick exit if needed.

There's always something out there just have triple check every lead.

Hey All. New to the YEG Area, but not New to Urbex. I have found a few places to explore in and around edmonton and would like to share these while learning of other awesome explorations to adventure on. It got torn down just this last fall but the old Ice Box Arena was pretty Neat.

I almost died there due to propane leak that almost ignited.

What you up to tomorrow Germ? There's a couple houses and locations in the west end I want to check out. And a couple about 40 minutes west of town. Would love to meet some fellow UE lovers. Start getting some more locations in and more meets and events for the area.

I missed that excitement, although that place did have a pretty "unique" funk when I visited...

Can people from central Alberta (e.g. Red Deer) get in on this?

I think it's a great idea. We just need a site large enough to accommodate that kind of posse. Sparro, if you have any ideas on that front, feel free to drop me a line. I've got some potentials on the backburner myself.
