You can get automatic cameras from Walmart that they use for game trails. I would imagine its not very legal if you get caught with one on private property though.

Nope those are definitely antennas. The length suggests a high frequency band. I'm sure they are used for receiving evil messages. And the pad locks on all 4 corners of the door is a trademark CIA move. It makes it harder for people to steal their door.

I was interested when I saw it too, so I did some exploring. If you walk down the dirt road that drives right next to the barn farther out into the field you'll reach a large fenced off area with an observation tower inside of it. When I approached it the guard asked me to stop taking pictures. Apparently it's a solar energy test site. I believe the barn is on the same property as it. Just a guess though.

yeah, we saw the solar research facility. when we were there, the gate was wide open. there was a truck there, but no one to be seen. we walked around a bit but didn't push our luck.

One small item of note - we drove past cia doom barn last night, and the floodlights aren't the motion detector type. I'd never noticed before since there are so many random lights dotted around the area, but the barn lights are EFFING BRIGHT. No warm yellow farmer's floods, it's the retina-searing cold steel white-blue lights of the guh'mint.

hehe, nice. actually, its just a research facility, privately owned, non-government. and the two (barn and solar research facility) aren't really that close and i'm not sure if they're on the same land. they could be, but my guess would be they are different.

Yeah, that close up really nails it. Definatelty CIA, they use those kinds of antennas. See the ECM receptor in the middle? They use that to reduce frequency shift modulation, which is common in receiving burst messages, all evil of course. They use those kind of lights too.

Just so no one buys into what junkyard is selling, "ECM receptor" is made up (well, its a term in biology...) and I doubt he knows much of anything about CIA technology

Electronically Commutated Modulation, might want to look into that. I'm sure there isn't much out there, but you can find some stuff if you know where to look. But don't take my word for it. Hell, jump the fence.

fair enough. i'm not sure what that is, but eh.

there isn't a fence actually, just the barn. and the lights don't seem to be 'CIA issue' as they are just light-detected florescent that you can get at home depot. but eh, let the conspiracy theories fly!

does the county this is in have an assessor office website? its the best way to find out who owns it..and if it is connected to the solar place.

I was thinking cell site, but the antenna do not look like cell tower to me...

how much power does the digital meter say it is using? make a note of the number, then check back - if its a grow op the usage should be quite high...

Of course, it could just be nothing. But man, it sounds weird.

All this talk of secret CIA stuff makes me smile.

My dad was NSA back when it "didn't exist." If this WAS a top secret government blah blah blah, you guys would have been chased off, shot at, arrested, black helicopters, etc, before you could get too close or stay very long.

Also, if you smell a strong, pissy, litter box type of smell around the barn, get the FUCK away and don't go back. That's usually the marker of a meth lab. Or that there's lots of litter boxes around. Something.

I found a barn like this near the local sugar factory. It was under some crazy security, but I did find a way in. Turns out it was where the city stored all the snowplows.

That was one hell of a fun night.
