What is the craziest place you've been to on a motorcycle... or whats the longest ride youve been on?

Up into the clouds, into the rain, and snow. Cold, muddy, wet, single track. Probably logged 50 miles on that trail, 50 miles of awesome.

It was not all that epic kept a leisurely pace 2.5 days each way. I may be going back this year I really miss the road (and my daughter who lives there)

Next I want to do an epic off road ride, one where I can ride all day without covering the same trail twice. Maybe camp in the hills overnight and ride back. The hill in your picture makes my knees rubbery!

Nothing available in Texas like that that I can find.

st. louis to denver frisco to la to dallas to stl again. about 35 days.
kept me from killin my (brandy-new)ex wife. i didnt have a speedo so i dont know the miles. only about 15 hotel rooms were slept in. Thanks VISA!!!!!

Wow! amazing journey, it makes me think of that Bob Seeger song "Roll Me Away"
I've been on long trips, but not one that had a change of seasons!!!

2X, that hill goes up 2000' or more in elevation from that spot, 10 or 12 miles up. And then you get to go down the back side. My buddy went blastin' past me, thinkin' I was bein a puss, it was a 1/4 mile or so before he could get stopped.

The bowling ball size rocks would roll as the tires went over them, you'd have to unlock the brakes over each one to regain control. Down was the only direction on that particular trail.......at least for me.

I cant wait to do some cross-country riding or to head south into central america during the winter. But I need to be a better rider first.

Check out ADVrider, right now im reading a thread from a guy who went around the world on a 1962 panhead. Nuts of steel.

I tell everybody that will listen, get a dirtbike, go out learn it's and your limits. A dirtbike is out of control 80% of the time, this will get you used to that feeling of not being in control. And when your 600lb streetbike goes sideways in a corner, the feeling won't be brand new to you.

Gravity, adhesion, momentum, front end washout, highsiding, traction, pain. All lessons best learned on a 250lb machine.

2x, come out to Nuevo Mejico. I can put you on a ride for 5 or 6 days where you'll never see the same thing.

Biggest ride for me? Bikepacking from Cloudcroft New Mexico to the Arizona border near the Blue Range Area in 1982. 4 days. 310 miles. 3 friends, 3 Husqvarnas, 6 bottles of Jack Daniels

Jones, awesome ride, I'd love to do that. Most I've done was 80 mile a day hare & hound loops, over two days. Those used to beat my ass.

Now I do 60 miles or so, on fire roads, and a lot of single track stuff.

But now I can stop and enjoy the views and take photos and explore stuff I used to just blast right past.

yeah. my other hobby is drag racing... my harley. so yeah 500lbs of "holy shit how the fuck did that happen" is well fermented in my blood.

that does sound like a blast wish we had BLM land in TX Id move to NM if I could find employment maybe I'll take up prospecting

I need an epic ride or maybe 2 weeks in the bush the grind and the rain here is gettin me down fellas

longest continous off road ride for me: 36 miles it kicked my ass Im out of shape

My son plays Hockey, hates motorcycles. We were watching a Supercross race, as we're watching, he says that doesn't look hard, the bike does all the work.

I reminded him that hockey players play in 2 minute shifts, and that these motocross boys are goin' for 20 minutes at full tilt.

I saw a light go on in his eyes, I'm sure he got it at that point.

I don't do much sanctioned drag racing, but I commute a 900cc speed triple 40 miles each way to work. I go down PCH from L.A. Harbor, to Newport Beach.

Needless to say I squeeze thru traffic, and of course once in a while I get to the front and I'll have a supercharged Jaguar, and an Aston Martin Vantage on either side of me. The old dudes drivin' these do not like to lose lane position. And traffic fines don't bother them at all. I'll normally just short shift and let them hear I'm not tryin' too hard, this usually pisses them off.

One day this black rice rocket squirts past me, I let him go, but a 1/4 mile ahead I see he gets stopped by a light. So I figure I'll get to him just as the light changes.

I'm in first gear at 20mph right as I get to him, the light changes. I pull the pin up, scream into 2nd gear hit the rev limiter, bang 3rd gear, I look down, speedo says 110 mph.

He passes me like I'm in reverse.

I get to the next light, He smiles over at me, and says It's pretty quick huh?

I cheated, and got my ass handed to me. I learned not to mess with a Hyabusa.

I learned to ride in Saigon, bought a bike on a whim and will regard the adventure and motorcycle with the fondness of a first love. One month, 2500ish KM, and too many stories to tell in a day.

But the craziest was still when I went back to Thailand and rode a cbr250 through the Mae Sa Valley. It was a ridiculous upgrade in power from my little 110cc chinabike that could barely hit a hundred going downhill with a tailwind. I can't count the amount of times I almost died.

So of course instead of returning the bike that evening I kept it and did it again the next day.
