Ok oddballs?

The voices told me to start a new thread for the odd and unique, new, vintage, classic, sad or just plain oddball scoots:

1971 HD Sprint (made by Aermacchi of Italy) I have actually ridden one of these kickers left shifters right, weird little bike but it had some power.

I love this thread, I've got years worth of odd ball bike photos.
Here's an old Honda desert sled for ya!!! Notice the Maico front fender?

I had a freind that rode one of those Harley/Armachi 350's from Maryland to El Pasoe, rode thru a couple of thunderstorms wearing a trashbag pancho. He said it was the worst trip, on the most uncomfortable bike, in the crapiest weather ever!!!

Lookie here, the first prototype Elsinore, probably 1971 or 1972? Engine cases seem to be some strange alloy.

yeah saw a video of the MX team that first rode those first Elsinores, they fell apart after a few laps but they gave Mr Soichiros boys some feedback and design changes and they improved them then made them guys a factory team, cant recall the name, father and two sons I think

Yep! I've talked with him a few times, he and I both collect old Husqvarnas, in fact I think we both have at least one OR390 in our collections.

Those three guys are LT to RT Brad Lackey, 1st U.S. 500cc world champion, 1982 I think.

next is Marty Smith, Honda factory hot shoe, and U.S. National Champion.

and lastly is Jim Pomeroy 1st U.S rider to win a world motocross event, he won the Spanish Grand Prix on a Bultaco in 1973 I believe, He also went on to win many races in the U.S. and I'm sure some championships, Just don't know what ones? He was killed a few years ago in a Jeep accident.

Really cool sporty! This stripped down version was considered a trail bike or scrambler, tons of power, frightening suspension.

I'm not sure, but I think that Harley has a kerosene tank for the lights? mounted on the forks.

OK Ive got "the" book on HD and Ive never seen that one

the engine is clearly from the SX250 (Aermacchi) but the seat fenders swingarm and expansion chamber apper to be an update

Im wondering if somebody cobbled that together or it was a prototype, I find no reference to a motocrosser just a "scambler"

In 79 the MoCo gave up on trying to compete with the Japs on small bikes

not lookin like a board tracker wrong bars guess they could be turned down like most Ive seen

what the heck could it be then Ive never seen that tank configuration either

almost look like a speedway bike

Don't know? it has dirt type tires, tiny fuel tank, no brakes, not configured for stand up sliding, but it looks like a speedway bike? also seems to be geared taller than a speedway bike? seems to have a strange jackshaft sprocket where the transmission unit would normally go.

My bet is some sort of 1/4 mile dirt tracker. 5 or 10 laps at most?
