I can proudly say I've never seen as much as a nanosecond of Jersey Shore. I don't even know which channel MTV is on my cable service. It's on MTV, right? I'm old enough to remember when MTV showed videos!

I certainly would not waste my time watching it. That is for sure! I have never seen an episode.

And yeah, I'm old enough to remember when MTV still played music. Video killed the radio star! Just sayin lol Wow did I just really date myself?

Due to having a 19 yr daughter and the fact that I work with younger folks I am not clueless about Jersey Shore. However, I am old enough to watch CNN late at night and get grossed out by Snookie doing flips with no underwear. Ewwwww. Should add, way old enough to be jealous that she had someone write a book for her that she is making money off of.

Argh!!!!! if i knew then what I know now. Guessing with that statement......(sighs)... enough said for now.

Getting a blank look when I used the term accumulator instead of register to a junior co-worker.

Reminds me of my explaining an older piece of hardware equating "core memory" with a thumbdrive and talking about loading the memory in one machine and transferring it to another.

I made it worse when I said: "it took forever to load the 32K memory."

I got the blank look and he said: "K?"

I was tempted to bring in an 8" floppy the next day to see if his head would explode.

Or stuff you bought when it was released is being played on classic rock stations.

I almost had a midlife crisis when I saw the copyright date on my first Black Sabbath record.

So I just switched to classical music.

I've had people ask me why a core dump is called a core dump...I'm guessing they don't even know what core memory is/was. (and to be fair, I'm too young to have delt with core mem..but at still learned about it)

also makes me feel old..today I found an old picture from when I was a 2nd lieutenant, back before CADPAT was invented and I was kicking it cold war style in olive drab...that made me feel very old.

Thumbdrive hehehe! I was playing an online game that requested I find a thumbdrive. Drew a blank and needed the help of a hint to find it. Shit I would have been able to at least identify a punch card.

Records ah yeah. I am still in possession of a combination am fm, turntable, dual cassette and 8 track player. So proud of that stereo when I bought it new.

Lookin at a 88 Mustang GT someone drove to the lot with envy. The 18 yo wash bay kid looks at it and says "damn, that's a classic. Look. At how old school it is. And how plain the interior is. Holy shit, it doesn't even have a airbag. Is that even legal to drive?"

Bitch please, I owned one and was 9 when you could buy it new. Fuck off.

If that was a hatch with a sun roof it would be IDENTICAL to the one I had.

67 1 ton flatbed chevy with no seatbelts. Took me a bit to convince the cop that is was not born with them and he won't be giving me a ticket.

the one before that one was a 1984 Mustang GT 20th Anniversary Edition (the one that Shelby sued Ford over because it had GT350 down the rocker panels)

this was my Five Liter Ford:

1984 Mercury Capri RS 5.0L/5gear

I skipped my prom to go party. Was driving a '72 Mercedes 280 SEL. It didn't have sholder harnesses but the lap belts were there. In retrospect, it was probably the nicest car I ever owned.

After that it was all about trucks. And I still don't buy anything younger than me.

My 1967 Kaiser Jeep has seatbelts, but doesn't have the D.O.T. required lights which are not required on vehicles made before 1972.

Since most of the cops on the street weren't even born yet in 1972, I get an occasional hassle about that.

Waking up on time to join a co-worker for some personal computer shopping, and still being at home 2 hours post the time, alone.

Don't youngins show up on time anymore?

Makes me feel old when I find out that some kid in the politics forum is only 5 years older than my son.

Can't believe my kids already 14.

And the other day, the daughter and her friend made fun of me for the snap, crackle, paralysis sounds I made when I stood up. It's not like I can help it. I've actually USED my body over the years... Stupid Brats.
