You must have picked a silly country to live in. I can have daily visits for free.

Yeah, but you've got to book the appointment 2 years ahead of time!

I was using the calculator that I bought brand new for my first year of college. It's a Texas Instrument "TI 35-II scientific calculator". Still works great!

Anyway, last year one of my co-workers saw it and when I told him when I bought it, he commented that the calculator was actually two years older than him. Blargh!

Pass the Geritol!

Taking over two and a half hours to complete a half-marathon, when your PR is 1:48.

In making my sixth and final trip today to Whiteface for the season before my ski bum friends take off for whiter trails and realizing I'm older than 90 percent of the kids up there on snowboards. Like old enough to be their mother.

Then coming home, sleeping five or six hours so I can go to work tonight, and waking up feeling like I'm ninety. Sore, stiff and barely able to move before taking a hot shower to limber it all up so I can hobble into work.

Caught an odd glimpse of the skin on my neck looking all wrinkly. Plus, crow's feet (seriously watching aging cream commercial thinking, "hey wait, I'm a dude but STILL...").

Ditto. Some of those "teenagers" are actually in their twenties. I hope I am around when reality smacks them in their face.

Having arthritis since 27. That makes you feel about 30 years older then you are. Finding music you used to love to listen to super loud that you now turn down. When you realize how many years its been since you were in school.

My Canada Decoration ( 12 years service good conduct)
and the fact I'll be getting a bar for said decoration (for 10 years on top of the 12 years) fairly soon.

And that I did basic with FN FAL as my rifle.

but regardless, I can still kick a whiny teenagers ass around the block without getting out of breath.

When all the loud music you listened to as a kid became available in acoustic
or "unplugged" as it is so often called. That made me feel old

OR... all the 'metal' you listened to as a teenager is now considered 'classic rock'.

...and it keeps getting played on the goddamn "oldies" stations.

Who's tagline I remember as "'60's, '70's, and today."

Fuck me.

Doing something I should have done 20 years ago...and realizing I can't do it very well and couldn't do it well in the first place.

I'm just discouraged over the whole thing.

Or stuff you bought when it was released is being played on classic rock stations.

Or taking five days to recover from playing baseball.

I can proudly say I've never seen as much as a nanosecond of Jersey Shore. I don't even know which channel MTV is on my cable service. It's on MTV, right? I'm old enough to remember when MTV showed videos!
