Welcome
< on 9/28/2008 4:52 AM >

I invited 2 people to this forum and I am sure you will be the only to join. I just need power.

So, welcome sexy ladies!

edit: Apparently I am older than I thought because I made a shambles of the grand opening.

I can feel it coming on. Soon I will be making embarrassing calls like my mother. I bought her a computer about 7 years ago. It was a daily barrage of inane questions. The worst being a phone call a few months after she got it. It turned out she was going to have a friend visit for a week and wanted to know how to remove all of the porn from her desktop. Sicko, elderly, pervert.

Oh well, I guess it is better than her masturbating to pictures of my ex. Am I right ladies?

I'm getting a sneaking suspicion that all the private boards are full of old people anyway.

Hey, it's my birthday in just over a week!

Look, I don't understand any of your young person slang.

I'm watching episodes of The Fugitive from 1964. I don't understand the young-person slang in that either. Daddy-o.

Perhaps there needs to be a vetting process, a la the FM requirements. Would a post history search reveal a longing for 'the good old days?'

Betty White Shoots Down Reports of Estelle Getty Snub

By Stephen M. Silverman

Originally posted Thursday August 07, 2008 11:55 AM EDT

The collective reputation of TV's Golden Girls seemed to tarnish somewhat when word circulated that not a single cast member attended the funeral of costar Estelle Getty, who died July 22.

But Betty White, who starred on the hit sitcom with Getty, Rue McClanahan and Bea Arthur, says no disrespect should be inferred.

"We were with Estelle when it mattered," White, 86, tells Entertainment Tonight, reports ET.com. "I didn't go to her funeral and Paul, her wonderful caretaker, knew I wasn't going to her funeral."

Getty had long suffered from a form of dementia associated with Alzheimer's disease.

White also insists that Getty herself would have been incensed at the tabloid stories fueling any notion of lost love between the "girls."

"Funerals are about [journalism]," suggests White, "who was there and who wasn't? That's not about Estelle."

In terms of feelings about Getty, "We adored her. To tell you the truth, her passing is tough on us, but it's a blessing for her. She's been so ill for so long, she's in a better place now, wherever she is."

Geezer forum...NICE! Shall I start a "list your ailments" thread?

Thought those of you with bladder control issues might appreciate this nifty device for exploring those locations where suitable bathrooms are few and far between:

Hit me up if you'd like the plans ;)

I am over 40 ... but don't feel a day over 72. You are old when:

- You're just asleep but others worry that you're dead
- You can live without sex, but not without glasses
- You quit trying to hold your stomach in, no matter who walks into the room
- You are proud of your lawn mower
- Your best friend is dating someone half their age... And isn't breaking any laws
- Your arms are almost too short to read the newspaper.
- You would rather go to work than stay home sick.
- You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.
- People call at 9 pm. And ask, "Did I wake you?"
- You answer a question with "Because I said so!"
- You know what the word equity means.
- You can't remember the last time you laid on the floor to watch television.
- You can't remember the last time you got laid on the floor
- Your ears are hairier than your head.
- You talk about "good grass" and you're referring to someone's lawn.
- You got cable for the weather channel.
- You can go bowling without drinking.

heh, I am guilty of many of these

You can be in this club but the problem is that as soon as you get into this club you'll be wishing you could go back to your old club. Age is funny that way.
