Bad Puppy.

So this is what I had to come home to after three weeks of vacation. Anybody else have pics of what your pup is capable of?

A little bit more chewing and she would have broken through the battery. This was when I left my phone alone with BlackDog for about fifteen minutes. Another time, we came home to find that she'd torn apart several stuffed animals, two pairs of shoes, then ripped open a bag of yarn and peed on it.

She's pretty good at fending for herself...

No not really, the vacation was my b-day present. And the gf said "don't worry about it, my friends can watch her." She was only their responsiblity for two weeks.
I admit I was pretty pissed when I came home, she dose not do this crap when I'm around.
This was the first time I've left her since I found her at four weeks old, I mean seriously, I think the longest I've been without her is maybe six hours.
I'm not the kind of guy that leaves out a three week sized bowl of food out.
Hell, I think tilly deserves her own uer profile. I think she might even do more exploring than some of the less active people on uer. We just got back from some midnight canoeing from a few spots I was checking out.

Well to get back on subject, my dog dug a hole in the wall and hates books, what did your dog do?

you'd think that these so called "friends" would have helped clean up or something.. jesus.. maybe they never even checked on your dog at all...

That really sucks that the gf's friends didn't have the responsibility to watch over your pup. Gotta be careful who you have watching your pet when you're away.

A budgie of mine almost died because of that. I went on vacation and one of my friends had said he would take care of her. All I asked was to make sure she had enough food and water while I was gone. I didn't think that was difficult. When I came back, she was very weak. I checked and there was no food in the dish and the water was badly fouled. One of her seeds was in it and it had began to sprout. I was pissed and when I went to call, was told to leave him alone and that the bird was my responsibility. Fine, lesson learned.

Poppy's claim to fame is to eat Shutterbug's underwear and socks. She also partially ate my shower towel. That was the first couple of weeks we had her. She seems to have grown out of that but we still watch her. And yeah, fortunately, everything did come out at the end.

LoL you gotta love it..I came home to that kind of mess everyday when my pup was a bit younger..They're capable of much destruction..I think I have gone through 3 comcast remotes..a wireless headset for xbox..computer cables a few good dinners prepared for myself and left unattended for a moment..numerous pairs of shoes and clothing torn to shreads..lol it never ends.

Poppy got in the habit of ripping out the underpad of the carpet at the base of the stairs. The kicker was that she didn't tear apart the carpet itself but she would push the carpet back to hide the evidence. Of course, it's kind of hard to hide that when there's pieces of underpad all over the place.

The 'Bitter Apple' and major scolding session pretty much put an end to that nonsense.

Our dog is the queen of garbage picking. She's not fond of being left alone, even if just for a half hour. She seems to think it her duty to scatter trash across the house every time my parents leave. Sometimes it's table scraps scavaging, other times it's decimating the bathroom garbage (what that bin contains that catches her interest is beyond me).

When she was younger, she chewed up 3 different $50-a-pop Dish/DVR remotes. Also, since my parents got a new back door on their house, she figured out if she grabs the knob with her teeth, she can pop it open sometimes. The doorknob looks like someone took a crowbar to it.

You can't leave food out where she can reach it either. She'll either eat it or "bury" it in couch cushions and piles of laundry if it's in plastic wrap. She ate an entire loaf of bread, bag and all, right before Christmas dinner once.

So yeah, I know about bad dogs.

Oh man if I took pics of ALL the damage my Charlie has done, it would need its own thread. LOL Instead, I will just list them off. Charlie by the way is a boxer/beagle mix with the size closer to that of the boxer.

1. Has actually almost eaten through not one but two doors
2. We go through about one set of blinds a month. During one incident of madly trying to get out through the window, Charlie some how pulled a tooth out splattering blood EVERYWHERE.
3. Destroyed three throw pillows, after that decided to not get any
4. A few friends of mine were watching him while the hubby and I went out of town for two days. TWO DAYS! My friend walks into the house and thought somebody had robbed us. All the blinds were destroyed, my husband's 60" TV was knocked down with paw prints all over the back and nearly every door was chewed on.
5, Again while on vacation, this time my mother is watching him. She comes into the house, again she thinks somebody has robbed us. This time Charlie has gotten in my Transformers room (full of collectible stuff and some of it highly valuable) to see he as eaten, knocked over and yes even shat on a lot of the stuff in the room.
6. Almost on a daily basis he some how finds the trash we don't lock up and literally drags it all over the house. One of the reasons why we decided to put hardwood in. That and he had chewed on the carpet under the front door to the point where we couldn't get in half the time.
7. Doesn't know own size so unfortunately he has broken many of things including glass wear, plates and other items with level of his tail.
8. Has chewed up several books, not really sure why

I can go on and on. LOL

Ahh..I'm currently dog sitting for two dogs: a mastiff and a cavalier king charles spaniel. I awoke this morning to find that they both peed in the bed and also, the mastiff knocked a vase of the shelf (which of course broke). Not to mention the countless times the little one has peed on the floor in excitement. I'm glad I don't own dogs.

Mine isn't very destructive,though his tail has swiped off more items off the coffee table than I can count. He also likes to bring random socks into the livingroom,and he'll swipe one shoe with his mouth when he comes in from outside.

If only I was able to take some pics when I got home, but I was a little too frustrated to even think. Left the dog out for 6 hours while I went out to shoot some stuff about 35 miles from where I live, and the plan was to make it back just in time to watch the super bowl.

I got home and opened the door with 10 minutes to spare, food in one hand, beer in the other, with all my camera gear in my bag on my back, and my jaw on the floor. The 4 spare feather pillows for when my friends crashed at my place which were hidden behind the couch, were now scattered all over the floor in a sea of feathers with my dog and cat trying their hardest to give me an innocent look half buried in the middle. At least 8" - 2" of feathers - everywhere.

luckily they only got 2 of the 4 pillows, but it took a lot of cleaning to get the place back together. And I was still finding feathers months later. Pets, gotta love 'em.
