Posted by lanceeman Ok, time for some beam shots..... |
Posted by Lynx Plus I'm pretty sure I bought for less than $50 at Canadian Tire, and I can get fresh batteries and bulbs for it really easily, in short notice, from any Canadian Tire along the way to a site. Yeah. Why throw away money on something you might lose/break/ditch. |
Posted by Kemper I'm looking to get a Inova x5. http://www.tactica...-pics/X5-MT-EB.jpg Very nice battery life and output, especially for $30. |
Posted by Assistance Good choice. The Inova X5 has the best reputation as being really reliable and really tough. It's a great floodlight, but it really doesn't have good throw. Of course, when you are exploring, flood is much more important than throw anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem. |

Posted by metawaffle Hmm, I don't know - I won't leave the house without a thrower and a flooding light. And a headlamp. And an emergency keyring light. |
Posted by AnAppleSnail I was carrying my cheapie LED exploring light with me (3-AAA Wal-Mart flavor). I got really weird looks from my friends who don't know my 'splorin habits when I took a flashlight out of my pocket for the sidewalk areas where the street lights are broken. |
