| Orbs are often seen in photographs. They appear as fuzzy light-colored blotches. What they truly are is up to debate. Some people with interest in the supernatural, claim these orbs to be evidence of spirits or ghosts, and thus a haunted location. The scientific view is that orbs are often dust particles, floating near the camera lens. They are illuminated by the flash or sunlight, and appear as a circular orb due to the fact that the camera is out of focus with the dust. Moisture in the air is another common cause of orbs.
