Posted by yokes But when do you do the tone mapping? |
Posted by zmuh11 That's the HDR technique he was talking about. This is a completely different technique. I wish I had CS2 or CS3 to try this out on, argh. But anyways, very nice tutorial, you should consider making it a pdf available for people to download, for free if you are nice Nice work man. |
Posted by desmet You should be able to do this on pretty much any version of photoshop that I remember. The only tools you really need are layer masks, airbrush, select -> Color range, and gaussian blur, which have been in photoshop for a looooong time. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it will all be in there. |
Posted by zmuh11 Well I only have photoshop 5, haha. It has gaussian blur and color range, has airbrush but can't control the flow(far as I can tell), and it's version of the layer mask is an adjustment layer where I can apply a gradient, background image, pattern. But there is no straight layer mask. |
Posted by desmet Ahhh thats right...the old versions only had opacity for the brushes, right? In that case you could totally use opacity to create the same basic effect, but I hear you on the layer mask thing. |
