So, seeing as Infiltration is rather different from exploration. We have no chance of "talking our way out" at 2AM in a highly secured compound (well, I like those places, you can use w/e) lets go over the changes in attire that you would make for this special type of UE.


First off, I wear all black or very dark blue. I never try to blend in cause... well... that'd never work.

I wear black fingerless gloves under cotton brown gloves. Fingerless to use a camera.

A balaclava, boots and 2 layers of pants/shirts.

That's not true. I've been on a mission where Jester's outfit was so well blended that even when he was running through an open area, it was almost impossible to see him.
For most 'urban' areas, a medium gray or olive drab seems to blend well. You don't want to be spotted inadvertently, do you?
The gloves are a really good idea, especially if you're gonna have to do a lot of climbing, or climbing through a window, you don't want to mess up your hands.
The balaclava, I'd lose. Nothing I can think of could make you look more suspicious. If you need to cover your head/face, try wearing something with a hood. If you're decked out in BDUs and combat boots with a balaclava, even a random passerby might call the police.

Remember, remaining unseen is paramount. The less obvious you are, the better.

I live in Canada (Well, we'll see if it's still Canada after the referendum..) so I don't really care about being caught. I've been caught a few times and I always talked my way out instead of being branded as a terrorist.

So I go for a pair of old jeans and a tshirt/sweater.

Anyone ever tried going with the full flourescent orange vest and try to pose as a construction worker? Might need a fake beard or something.


Yeah I know the balaclava is a bad idea, I'm going to start going with a boonie hat or something...

One thing a lot of people overlook is regardless of what you're wearing, make sure you can move easily WITHOUT the clothing being baggy. Can't think of many worse things than getting your pants caught in the barbed wire while you're trying to get out unseen.

Oh my god! People in West Virginia can type?! (sorry, had to)
Depending on the site, blue jeans, steel toed workboots and an old tshirt (tucked in) will get you everywhere!

lol No offense taken. I'm a two-finger typist anyway. Seems like a lot of computer techs are, or at least a lot of the ones I've met. *shrugs*

And you've got a point. Or even a nice sweater and jeans -- I wore that for my trip to an old theater last Saturday. It was still in operation, so I just asked to go in. Once I was there, everyone assumed I was an employee.

Yeah, just remembered, at my first post I meant I never try to blend in with the crowd because 90% of the time we are going around 2 AM hehe


I still say, thick leather gloves, big bright orange vest and jeans with matching flannel shirt gets you pretty much anywhere.

Yeah, looking like a construction worker or contractor will get you a LOT of places, unless it's access controlled. Even then, you can always try to social engineer your way in.

Anyways, there is a really old hotel on Riverside Drive around here and I'm going to try to use the "I'm an important contractor and someone pissed in my coffee" act. Complete with scruffy fake beard and clipboard.

Some fuckbag tried that on me, when I was off duty at the guard shack. I was giving the other guy a piss break. Guy turned his head and went, "Oh fuck." My eyes turned but my head didnt. His hand came in and my shoulder instictively came up and he caught that. I think he nearly broke his hand screamed in pain and ran off away from the gate, leaving his bike. Never came back for it either.
