I know this has been said over and over again, but Ninj was the reason I got into this. His zine was first shown to me by a friend of mine a few years ago, and I was hooked ever since. rip.

Ninj, your enthusiasm and dedication to this hobby opened my eyes and helped me to meet many great people. With great inspiration from you and your input, my life was brightened greatly. You were truly a great. You will be missed. Thank you.

Rip Ninjalicious, i never met him but i have heard many good things.I really enjoyed looking at his site and reading about places and different things on it.I think in many ways he inspired people to UE and introduced many to it with his site.My condolences to his family.

There's not much I can say that hasn't been said...it was a loss to the UE community for certain.

I never knew Ninjalicious, but like many of you, his web site got me fascinated by UE. I am disabled so I have not done any UE myself, so reading the stories, the Infiltration zine, and browsing through the fascinating photos, has been a nice escape from my often all too familiar surroundings.

So very sorry to hear about this, Ninj was and is a true inspiration to all that love UE, having lost both my mom, and my wife to cancer I cant stand the thought of, or the sight of the word "Cancer" anymore, hopefully mankind soon will come up with a cure for this scourge of the earth...RIP Ninjalicous!

On the evening of Tuesday, Aug 23, 2005, after fighting cancer for over a year, our beloved Ninjalicious passed away.

He was a great friend of mine, and basically the reason I got into this hobby. All of the places I've been, the people I've met, the friends I've made, and the relationship I'm currently in, I owe to Ninjalicious's vision, his zine.

He inspired many others. Even though he and I were friends, I could never see us as equals -- he was always at the top of the ladder. He was a legend to me.

Goodbye, dear friend... I, and many, many others you've inspired, will miss you.

Everyone should buy it, it's a great book.

I did! Plus I shelled out for a full set of back issues of the zine and I think I somehow managed to order another tshirt at the same time...

For those of you looking for a way to show your respect for Ninj and his work perhaps ordering a couple copies of the book and back issues of the zine and donating them in his name to your local library is a good idea.

It's a great way to immortalize his work, just think, even if it sits on the shelf for 30 years someone will pick it up someday. Or perhaps an abandoned building in a ziploc, tucked in the corner of an elevator machine room or something would be a good place to leave it.

I think we all took Jeff's words for granted and with him gone now I think the best way we can honor his contributions to our community would be if we each took a small effort to share his wit and wisdom with others.

I am sorry to hear the news. It was a great honour to have given Ninj a personal tour of the bell tower at Knox church a few years ago http://www.infiltration.org/journal-knox.html. I send my condolences, and I do look forward to the book. Thank you for all your posts.

I haven't been around much. Unfortunately lack of access has prevented me from coming here.

I never got to meet Ninj. But I feel the connection that everyone else here does.... I'm getting choked up just from the thought of it, and of reading some of the wonderful things everyone has written.

It's truly sad. He will be remembered forever.

Ninj's (Jeff's) book, Access All Areas, is now available. I have read it cover to cover and it was (almost) like having Jeff sitting beside me. I think the book is wonderful (but I may be a tad biased). Please visit the Infiltration site to order yours; you'll likely learn a few tricks and certainly grin/chuckle a few times.

I got into urban exploration after reading all the content at infiltration.org numerous times. Some time ago I think I figured out what exploring abandoned buildings is all about. There you are, surrounded by the rotting remains of what undoubtedly contributed to some vain pursuit of materialism. You're forced, even if only subconsciously, to reconsider what really matters in life. It's not what you own or build. Those things return to nature. Urban explorers know this better than anyone else. What matters is how you see the world and how you share that vision with others. No single philosopher, author, photographer, or filmmaker has opened my eyes to perspective as interesting as the one I gained from Ninj through urban exploration.

I've been out on the road exploring and returned to no internet access, so I've just now read this thread. It was a call from Atomic and then Max Action that brought the news to light just a day or two after his passing. I had a wonderful opportunity to talk briefly with Ninj when he visited the Twin Cities last year, and I instantly knew he was genuine and sincere. That's really all I can say since I didn't know him all that well. I've loved reading Infiltration, and felt that Ninj was always a fair and honest guy around the forums. His presence will be missed, but hopefully his spirit will not die out.

Take care everyone, and live life to the fullest.
