Posted by PoT. I really hate to go on an off-topic tangent. But what does her grandfather being a mason have to do with anything? Masons aren't anywhere near as interesting as they're made out to be. Some of their buildings do have some pretty funky "secret" passages in them. The one in North Vancouver on Lonsdale is a great example of that. I have heard something about some tunnels on the island around an old Colonial-era prison for transporting prisoners and such. I, for the life of me, can't remember any details about it, something I caught on the idiot box one night. So I have no clue how much help that can be, but, I'm pretty sure that it was somewhere in Victoria. Cheers! -PoT |
Posted by NeuWerld The masons did a lot of the stonework in Victoria and the lower mainland, that is all. |

Posted by geoplus This whole secret tunnel is very interesting considering the satanist population in the area. Although I wouldn't recommend anyone poking around alone around there. If anything is being organized for this let me know I am very interested, also if anyone here uses IRC there is a channel set up for UE on DALNet at #urbex. |
Posted by KublaKahn Does anyone know what this means?

Posted by lopix Looks like a made-up script to me, but I am not a linguist. Where is it from, where did you find it? Give a bit more info, might be something to be gleaned from it. |
Posted by kowalski There's no secret tunnel network corresponding to pentagrams or secret symbols or anything of the like. It's all just wishful thinking and a waste of a reporter's time to pursue. |

Posted by KublaKahn Reputable sources have corroborated specific elements of these stories...meaning that more than one historical researcher (that would be a PhD.) has confirmed details etc. etc., and whether these details are factual is irrelevant. The stories are part of a deeper cultural pattern. |
Posted by geoplus I bet he hasn't even been to BC lately or even Victoria at all. |
Posted by kowalski Actually I was in Victoria three times in 2004. |
