Posted by A. Lien Nice work guys, I'm digging the ectoplasm and face in the last shot. Seriously, well done. |
About the book: At least about 12 years ago, when Capital Iron did some changes, (I think it was when they excavated to put in the lower outdoor public area), many bones and artifacts were found. A stop work order and some issues ensued, if I remember right, and archeologists were allowed to look for stuff. The whole area is just stacked like a layer cake with Native history. And then our beer bottles, Model T's railway ties etc. I should/will just read the book already. |

Posted by -blitzkrieg- sour diesel and my self checked out the douglas darkie last night, should be some pictures soon, im pretty sure most people who frequent this forum have already been there though. i was also wondering if anyone has been to the goldstream goldmine? ive been there and been into the one part that is open but there is a vertical mine shaft that drops about 20 feet down then you can see a tunnel leading off somewhere, anyone know whats down there? |
Posted by Jmonster Amazing thread, there's probably an entire novels worth of info here. |
Posted by KublaKhan Our good friend Ross Crockford details this sort of adventure on his blog, Unknown Victoria. These places are extremely dangerous, even for pros, so my suggestion is that you read and then re-read the blog post, and then read it again. Then take some time to consider what it might be like sprawled out on the floor of a deep shaft, far from where anyone can hear your pitiful cries for help. |
