Hey everyone, This is my first time posting any pictures on UER. I hope you guys like drains. Please let me know what you think. These pictures are what I call "light effects" because I brought a lot of flashlights into a drain to make "light art". The idea of this project is to experiment with placing flashlights in different positions to make different light designs. I'm not going to lie to you but this project is a lot of work but I enjoy it a lot and it's fun!

this project is a lot of work

No kidding, that's a lot of flashlights! Must've taken you a second to get them lined up properly too, eh? I like how it looks though, worth the effort. Good stuff.

Many bonus points awarded for not just pointing a single light down the drain from the camera's PoV like every new photograph does. Cool shots!

Also, if you host your photos externally (like on Flickr), you can embed them here with bbcodes and they'll look a lot better.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind but I'm not on any social media except for UER (LOL).

Oh yeah, you're right, it was a lot of work but in the end it all worked out great. Back when I first started to bring a lot of flashlights into the drains like I did in these pictures , I only brought maybe about 20 flashlights into this drain and back then I was using a very deep manhole shaft that had a concrete platform at the top that wasn't very "BACKPACK FRIENDLY" if you know what I mean (LOL).

Woah! Great work! How many extra batteries did you have to bring?

Something about the composition, either the way the camera is not totally centered, or the effect of the flashlights, makes it look like we're looking downslope to some degree. I'm assuming it's a flat part of the tunnel though.

Thanks. I actually brought a lot of 18650 batteries but the flashlights I used here were all good to go, so I didn't need extra batteries at that moment (LOL).

The camera is centered but keep in mind that the idea of these pictures is see the light effects and because the tunnel I was in when I took these pictures are pretty big, so it's hard to get the whole picture if you know what I mean. Also, I think that this tunnel was flat but had sloped sides due to it being a round concrete tunnel and I don't think that the tunnel was super sloped, at least it didn't seem to be.

Thanks. Well yeah, I always love to go exploring but lately it's been super hard to find anyone to go exploring, so I been going alone but I'm always open to go with people as long as they understand that I'm very into exploring drains and sewers.

Here are more of my cool drain pictures. The concrete egg tunnel is different because this is the only time that I have ever seen a concrete egg tunnel in a drain before. That brick shaft is very different too. I'm not sure how old this entire section of this drain is it's definitely unique and it appears to be very clean. Hope everyone likes these nice pictures.
