Posted by ryanpics I always struggle to find any interesting shots of train things. Given my experience, it seems you did a pretty good job of finding shots. They aren't the most interesting, but they're good for what you had to work with. I can't think of anything specific I would really change. Nice work. |
Posted by bleckfrog nice pics, i like the glow of the sunlight. for the first one i'd just straighten the photo, bc its rotated to the left a bit right now. the third one i like the depth, but the focus is a bit too close to the edge imo, might be better to have that focus point at around 1/3 of the photo from the edge. overall, theyre good pics! |
Posted by kabdad There aren't bad, so you kinda have to look a little harder to critique. To me, the sky is a bit overblown, or overexposed. I'm not a big fan of shot 1 in general. Hard to put a finger on it, just doesn't really work that well for me. I like shot 2, although a bit boring the lines are good. I would possibly try a polarizing filter to help with the sky, or try a smaller aperture, or faster shutter, but this is probably being picky and more personal preference than critique. I also like shot 3. I like the close focus, but wish the item in focus wasn't so plain...again, working with what you got, so what do you do. I like the depth. It's a little bright for my taste, but nice job overall. Thanks for sharing and feel free to judge me harshly in return! |
