Billings and Butte, Montana- Looking for locals/ connections
< on 10/12/2020 11:02 PM >

Well, here I am 4 years later and just getting back in to urbex.
I reside in Billings, MT and I take care of a handful of historic buildings in the southwest side of the state including an abandoned hospital.

I am mainly wanting to feel the waters and see if there is anyone in Montana that would be open to forming a small group here to continue exploring what Montana has to offer in the way of "urbex". At this point, elevator surfing and ghost towns seem to be the main source of entertainment, but I guess that is a start.

All I have found in Billings so far is an abandoned house or two (boring).
I am willing to trade locations too.
My urbex "style" is draining, elevator surfing, abandoned buildings (obviously), and exploring active buildings.

Not sure what what the status is on the Colstrip power plant is.

It was supposed to get demolished in August, but IDK.

Last I heard, it is under demolition now.
Another place under demo is the grandstands in Billings. It may be tough to get in due to a huge homeless problem here.

I was through the Reservation and there is a lot of potential there. But as indicated in another post of mine, I am not sure how well trespass is received....

We always loved exploring Montana. Lots of mining and military leftovers.

You know - back in the old times - when people could cross borders lol

Maybe again someday - but not anytime soon - that is for sure.

Hi There,

Spokane resident here who spends 90% of their time working in Helena, MT and its surrounding areas.. not so much Billings but Butte for sure.

I have a few locations I want to check out and others on the researching block.

I am still new to this area, I moved out here from New England in August and have been missing the good old abandoned buildings. I would love to explore, I have been at it over a decade.

Youtube channel for reference to say that I am who I am.

I'll be in the Bozeman area until late April, so shoot me a DM if there's anyone in the area who wants to grab lunch and check some stuff out.
