Newish member in Colorado - obsessive drainer
< on 6/13/2020 6:58 PM >

Hi folks,

Just wanted to take a second to introduce myself and say hi. I’ve been in the Englewood/Denver Colorado areas all my life and have only in the last year or so started really exploring drain systems. I’m absolutely hooked and love the whole underground world...so different than the bustling above-ground we’re all so used to. Out of curiosity, as I have quite a few pictures to post soon here, many are from a drain that is not in the public database but HAS to be in the DB I would think. Is it customary to NOT put much about the location as a non full member, and also would I just post it in a new thread since obviously I can’t see the DB?

Hope everyone is safe out there these days and having fun. Would love to meet up with a small group at some point too!

Hi! I used to live in CO but never went draining and I regret it. Really, I hardly explored at all when I was there.

When it comes to posting photos, don't worry too much about whether or not the place is on the DB, especially if you can't see it. Post your photos as a new thread in the forum for your region. Anyone, full members included, who makes a public post needs to use discretion when describing a location so it isn't obvious where it is or how to get in - that includes posting photos of your POE or any signs that could ID the location.

Hope that helps, and I look forward to your photos!

Right on, thanks so much for the tips! I’m looking forward to posting some photos but it’s all on film and I’ve really been slacking on my scanning. Lots of TAKING photos...and they’re developed...but that doesn’t do me much good when nobody can see them yet. ;)

I’ll get some stuff pulled together and looking forward to seeing what you think.

Have a great one!

K/E

We have a couple brick drains in my 'hood that I've been meaning to explore.

Those Denver drains, man! I want to go up there and explore them so bad, the brick is just beautiful. I'm in Colorado Springs, and the drains I've found so far here are boring by comparison, but I love them anyways. Would love to connect if I'm ever able to make it up there for some draining.

I do pretty much exclusively these days. Every now and then I’ll take out the digital but I like the process of film still. I’ve got some stuff scanned now and just need to sit down and upload when I’m around home. Will do very soon!

Very nice pictures of drains with bricks! I don't think I've seen tunnels quite like these before! Great work!
