Night Explore of the Silos
< on 5/14/2020 5:22 PM >

There's most definitely a thread for this place already. These were taken around January of 2020 while a friend and I were searching for tunnels in the bay. Decided to check out some places as we waited for dark and the sidewalks to clear.

1.

Haven't seen many night shots of this place but its certainly a different experience trying to get in after dark.

2.

3.

Skyline from the roof

4.

The only tunnel we were able to locate and explore

5.

6.

I love the photos! That tunnel looks rad!

I love those silos at night, something about them was really relaxing and rad. I went there a lot until my car got broken into and that steamed my interest in going as much. If you're interested my set is here Elevate my Gain on Flickr

A group of graff artists rappelled down this building as a night mission a couple years back for the “Rising Above” on the side of the larger building.

Here’s the link to that video:

Those are sick. I was too afraid to do too many long exposures since there was security present when I visited and I forgot my tripod. But yeah once you're inside it really clears the mind.

Indecline is the same group that produced BumFights way back in the day isn't it? Remember those DVDs that used to be for sale at like 7-11 and shit back in the early 2000's?

Sorry OP, the above was in reference to the video link

I love seeing updated photos from this and other places that were extremely popular in this region about 5 years ago.... keep at it!

edit: clarification

Those are some fun shots! I love the skyline shot too, it's a breath of fresh air since I've been looking at so many pictures from the Southeast recently that I almost mistook LA for Atlanta.

Looks like a lot of fun at night, can anyone attest to the security as of late?

Because of the protests expect a large police presence in the area. Additionally, unless you're exceptionally good at hopping barbed wire fences, people WILL see you entering and you're going to have security waiting for you as you exit. In other words, it's easy to get in, but you'll be caught coming out.

Understood. Thanks for the info, ill think about going after tensions blow over.

Also, I've heard of some people slipping under the fences. Probably a better idea, but also probably fixed by now.

Few shots from one of my night visits here. Nice overall vibe seeing the sparkling city lights in the distance and hearing rave music from the venue below.

1. Machinery illuminated by the outside lighting.

2. Looking down from the highest point of the site.

3. Lower outdoor section of the larger building.

4. Smaller building illuminated by a random firework show in the background + smoke moving throughout my long exposure.

took these a while back, i've actually never been during the daytime but exploring it at night was a cool experience. i'm glad i didn't go alone since my phone was at 1% the entire time, but somehow managed to stay alive.

1. on the way up, it was cool seeing the city lit up on the outside. decided to try a long exposure with a timer. i definitely couldve stood a bit more still but i'm happy with the result

2. i enjoyed this nice night view

3. had to get a basic shot of this haha

4. on the rooftop of the building in the previous shot. i wanted to get a picture of the cityscape in the back.

5. this catwalk was sketch, definitely won't be coming back here if i ever return to this spot. the first part of it had lots of holes and lots of rusted out areas as you can see in the pics that other people have posted.

6. and finally, the whole reason to cross that catwalk in the first place, was to visit this control room

Just visited last week and got in broad daylight. As I walked out a white security car followed me but did nothing.
