Abandoned School Bay Area
< on 8/13/2019 6:48 AM >

Was able to check out an abandoned school earlier today. It's been on my list of places to hit for a couple weeks so finally made the drive over to check it out. Was worth the drive but the building is locked down and there's absolutely no way inside any of the classrooms/buildings. Regardless, it was cool to check out this place that's been closed for over a decade and is relatively untouched.

The main entrance of the school.

The flagpole still standing in the drop-off parking.

The front of school, this is where the office would be.

Some hallways connecting different buildings of the school.

Found this chair resting in the overgrown quad between buildings.

One of the old classrooms taken through a window from the outside.

Poor drinking fountain.

Another classroom taken from the outside. Birds have managed to find their way into some rooms in the school, including this one.

The backside of the school.

Another classroom.. (Note the security system's motion detector in the top right on the wall. It still works..)

The basketball courts behind the school.

Made our way onto the roof to get a view of the quad of the school.

Hope you guys like the pics. Planning to hit up several more places in the coming weeks and will report back soon!

Thanks! This might in fact be the school you’re talking about.. It’s an abandoned elementary school.

I would like to explore some in my town, but, we haven't abandoned school buildings. I have visited it only once during the summertime traveling. I can only imagine and plan the next time trip while quarantining and reading https://gradesfixe...les/death-penalty/ this for a deal just for a little with my college. But these free essay examples about the death penalty are so depressed, so I decided to take a break here.

i passed by this place randomly while on a mini road trip, and as my eye caught the building in the condition that it was, i decided to turn around and give it quick check.

i was later informed about the quad inside the buildings that i had no idea about, as well as some other rooms that i was unable to access that previously had an alarm.

Nice that you made it into the place shown in picture 11! When I was there last year that room was alarmed. We took like three steps in and were about to sit down at the piano when the alarm started blaring. Definitely gave us a little jumpscare.

hmm i think this is actually a different room because when i went in this one, there wasn't a piano anywhere. i was told that the piano was in a room near a mural, but when i went to that mural, the entire room was boarded tightly shut, unfortunately.

haha im glad i didnt have to experience that here

Ah gotchu. Yea couldn’t tell from the one photo of yours if those boards were actually sealed shut or just laid across to look like it.
Don’t think I made it then to the room shown in photo 11. Although there’s not much difference sans a piano and a few other things.

Visited here back in 2017. Looks like not much has changed, but there used to be a few buses that I noticed are gone the last time I drove by.
