Posted by The Weekend Warriors I apologize but no new pictures yet, I'm waiting to post new content until I've actually got something worth looking at. |
Posted by skatchkins What a thread without photos?!? Oh. That's actually pretty considerate. Carry on. Thanks for the story. |
Posted by Mr. Bitey Lol. I was woken to a similar sound once. I had just moved in maybe 3 weeks prior. I worked 2nd shift at the time, so sleep in on the late-ish side. No real voices, just one giant WOOOOOSH. The first time I heard it, I looked and saw one guy riding his bike by. No clue as to what I heard, I laid back down and heard it again just a couple minutes later. This time I caught them. Lap 2 of literally hundreds, if not thousands, of road bikes in a tight pack. Giro d'Grafton - Tour of America's Dairyland. .85mi course that went right past my house and open bedroom window. And trust me - hundreds/thousands of road bikes are LOUD. Mix in the rear cassette of half those in a carbon fiber wheel and they will indeed wake you up... |
Posted by WEKurtz Sounds like a fun explore. As for the unexpected company...When asked why I explore I truthfully answer that it supplies me with three things I enjoy. 1. Exercise. Often more than I'd counted on. 2. A chance to take unusual pictures. 3. It sometimes it puts a good scare I me. I don't think I'm alone on #3. |
