Getting past security/front desk in skyscrapers?
< on 3/11/2019 7:41 PM >

Was wondering if anybody had any specific tips involving getting onto rooftops of skyscrapers, Ive only had success once and it was not that tall of a building (9-10) stories, and every other time ive tried, ive gotten stopped by security. If anyone is down to help me out and give some advice that would be greatly appreciated!

You might be able to dress like an office worker and follow someone inside if you're old enough to look the part. This, of course, depends on whether or not they have a badge scanner at the door or whether they require all employees to check in with the secretary.

Alternatively, nobody pays attention to janitors and maintenance workers. You could dress like one and tailgate someone inside, or just claim that you were a new worker and your paperwork hasn't gone through yet.

Basically, brush up on your social engineering skills, because you're probably gonna need them.

Case by case, each is different.
Look for alternative paths to the roof on the roof and from the outside of building from a lower level.
People make mistakes; what wasn't accessible today maybe doable tomorrow.
Construction and remodeling may open that locked door(s) for you as well.
Nothing takes the place of persistent.

There was a large vacant skyscraper in downtown Dallas.

No way to bluff your way in past the front desk guard.

However, the underground parking garage used the same elevator system as the main building. And it was not guarded. oilla. A major security defect waiting to be exploited.

The elevators doors were around a corner from the front desk and the guard could not see the lights going up (or down).

If it is an office building, visit at lunch on a work day. Walk closely behind other people coming in.

There is also going to be less security attention on a moving day when any company is moving in or out.

Browse their company website for pictures of the crew, make a fake visitor badge or ID badge based on what they were displaying, BS your way past security, and walk right in like you own the place.

If they catch on that you have made counterfeit credentials, be sure to bring along a garrote wire or pistol with a silencer so you can take care of them before they raise the alarm.

Pretty much...avoiding that kind of hassle is why I always carry a Vault-Tec brand Steathboy or two!

Pick a company based there and visit.

Got a 3 day, day pass at Fort Hood like that.
That was a blast... even inadvertently got into a restricted fire zone.
After a bit a bird colonel standing with some soldiers said to me with a smile that was a restricted zone and he could have me thrown in the brig. I left that area
Fun times... sometimes the direct approach works best.

And also don't forget to shave your head and get a barcode tattoo. Your disguises will be 100 times more convincing.

Speak for yourself. I've lost plenty of clones this way.

Stick to residential buildings for rooftops, as most are less secured, and the front desk people likely won’t even bat an eye to you. Most times you could just stick around a corner and follow someone in the building. Either that, or you could pretend you’re delivering food or a personal package.

If you do attempt office buildings, accessing the staircase from an underground parking lot is your best bet if you look like you don’t belong there.

(just realized this thread was from march of last year, my bad for reviving this thread in advance haha.)
